Confession time: I have very red hair and lots of freckles. I think it looks OK on a woman. It looks adorable on children.
But on a man it looks… childish. Cute, maybe, but definitely not masculine.
My opinion.
All redheads are irresistible to members of the opposite sex. Fact. Just ask any spouse of a redhead

It would be terribly hypocritical of me to reject a man with freckles. I laid out this year hoping to get a little color so I wouldn’t look so ghostly at the pool… nope. Got more freckles tho.
Just curious as, I have a friend who’s that description who’s only dated once and married that one girl. Wondered if it was the bozo hair and/or the potentially cancerous marks on his skin that are the cause of this, or his personality. 
For me, appearance takes a back seat to personality and personal hygiene. A killer smile blinds me to hair color. And obnoxious behavior turns me of altogether.
Red Headed Guy with not too many freckles checking in…From the other side of the coin, I’ve had a lot of women tell me they love my hair, but not in a “I wanna do you” sense, but a “I wish I had hair that color” sense. I think more women prefer dark hair and eyebrows because it seems more dominant. I have heard women say they didn’t like redheaded guys. I’ve never heard women say they didn’t like dark-haired or blonde guys. Then again, I’ve been with women who discovered that red haired men could be sexy and that dark = dominant and not dark= not dominant is just not true. But I’ve never been with a woman who was “into redheads”…
I am not a lady but my current boyfriend has red hair. His head hair is strawberry blond. His facial and body hair are all orange/red. He also has freckles but they are only on his arms and legs now. In his earlier pictures he had them on his face too but they have since faded. I know many other men who have fetishized red heads (both straight and gay). For me the person is more important.

Seriously, I have a friend with red hair and freckles and I just want to use him as a teddy bear for the rest of my life. The cuteness of it really draws me.
I wouldn’t exclude dating someone because of the colour of their hair, so sure I’d date a redhead.
I’ve heard Brits refer to ‘ginger’ hair. Is this different from what I think of as red hair?
Well when I say “ginger hair” I mean hair that is more orangy then when I say “red hair”
In general, I prefer dark men–I’m not all attracted to blondes, despite my own fair coloring. But since my husband, who is one of the most attractive men I know, is very redheaded and very freckle-y, I’d have to answer with a resounding YES.
See, see !? It’s society’s fault I don’t find red haired guys attractive, I tell you… although, Shawn Hatosy (The Faculty etc) isn’t too bad looking.
