Ladies: Which male physique would you prefer?

Er, before you do that, you gonna share whatever drugs it is you’re currently taking?

1-4 Yuck, the guys have really weird looking nipples.

As for the rest all but 11. 11? eeeuuuw, too scrawny, looks like a boy, not a man.

I’m 48, but my taste has always pretty much run this way. I really prefer a bit more “cuddle” than these men have but muscle without cuddliness is okay too. I read somewhere that only minimum wage and lower income women like muscle…

Pffffttt. I’m neither of those, and I like it.

I like number 2 the best. He looks like he’d be strong enough to fight off a grizzly bear that started to attack as the guy was moving furniture into the house he just built with his bare hands.

And then, after the grizzly fight, we would cuddle. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m 19.

Just pure, unadulterated me, baby.

Definitely 11. None of the others are appealing at all. But I’d be too self-conscious to actually be with somebody who had a body like 11. The chubbier guys are preferable to the super-built guys.

My husband, after years of me feeding him right, looks just like number 2 (except without the frighteningly red nippular areas). He says he used to be a toothpick; I think he’s hot now, and I would have thought he was hot as a toothpick, too. Yes, it’s true, Least Original User Name Ever; ladies can and do like skinny guys. Maybe it’s because we’re always fighting the Battle of the Bulge; skinny is so foreign to us.

So…is it like vicarious weight loss…or if you can rub the skinny body, the metabolism will rub off on you?

Maybe you like to sling skinny guys under your arm and stiff-arm defenders…

Yeah, I’ve got nothing.

I liked #4. I like big men who look strong but the 6 and 8 pack abs don’t do anything for me. #11 is much too slim—the swimmer’s body doesn’t do it for me.
Cyn, female and 44.

You can be really strong without being musclebound. Bigger does not necessarily equal fitter. And what if you wanted to run away from the woolly mammoth?

But, as long is it’s what you want to do and you aren’t doing it solely to attract a mate, whatever. For women I think the physical stuff is less important than other things, anyway. (Not to say it’s unimportant–it’s just not everything. Men seem to view this differently.)

  1. I like 'em skinny.

[bitter]No wonder I’ve had problems with women in the past. I’m 5’11 and 180 lbs. without even a 4 pack. It’s clear from this thread that a majority of women like their men looking like young soccer players. Knew I shouldn’t have quit and done track… [/bitter]

I feel better now!

I’m 50, and #11 looks fabulous to me…and I’d take him when he hits 50, too. #7 is also quite nice.

I dated a bodybuilder in college, and would never, ever date another one. He claimed he would kill himself if he ever dropped below 200 pounds, and though he wasn’t actively working out during the time we dated, he did spend way too much time looking at pictures of other men’s bodies in magazines, and too much time looking at himself in the mirror. And posing, which is just not attractive at all. If I want big muscles on a man, it’s because he built them up doing hard work, not by working out in a gym.

That being said, there is a picture of Bob Hoskins in “The Long Good Friday” …in the shower…that used to come up on Google…can’t find it anymore, but let me tell you, those barrel-chested guys have a certain appeal that even a #11 can’t match…

I was in a happy 4-year relationship with a #3 and a less-happy relationship with a #1, but their body types weren’t relevant to the happiness levels.

I’m married to #11, and I’d love to add an extra 10kg to his frame - I think he’s slightly underweight, although logically I know he’s very healthy and this is just his natural body shape. I don’t think it’s so much ‘nurture’ for me as ‘aesthetics’, in that I prefer a slightly squishier, less bony frame.

Still, I’m the size of a small house, so it’s not like I’m in a position to throw stones when it comes to body aesthetics.

I’d pick 11, 2, or maybe 4, but I also like skinny geek boys or twinky swimmer’s builds and there weren’t too many of those.

I’d pick 2 or possibly 3, but I prefer men that I can cuddle with and they will be squishy, not bony. I don’t like skinny guys. 25 year old female, btw.

And if you look like 2 or 3 and are in NYC, you should email me right away!

Mmmm, 11. I thought my tastes were atypical but I guess not. 255 year old female.

I’m sure it gets annoying after all these years, but what is your secret?

I agree. But since it’s what we have to choose from, I’ll say top pick is #7. I think # 11 is TOO skinny, you can see his ribs. I do like a fair amount of muscle, even meaty you might say but NOT that steroid look, blech.

Yea, 7 is damn good. My S.O. is a big guy, probably just a tad bigger than that.

Number 11 for me. Maybe a little more muscle tone, but I like slender, graceful yet still masculine forms. Broad shoulders and small hips is fine, just no veins popping out of over-developed muscles please! Somewhere inbetween 7 and 11 is ideal for me.

Beatrice Wood, an American artist and ceramicist, when asked the secret to long life always replied “I owe it all to chocolate and young men.” She did not say whether she preferred 7 or 11.
