In the evenings my wife likes to lounge around the house in pajamas or sweats. I would like a change, I thimk she would look good in something different, say, a red bustier and hose. She’s petite woman but she has attributes that would be well suited to such attire. I have brought it up but it is not a subject open to discussion. I would buy these items myself but while I am trained in metrology ther are some measurements I’m not sure how to aquire. Any advice, Ladies?

Check her underwear drawer. The labels in her bras and knickers will tell you her size, and also give you a idea of the kind of the thing she likes. It should be possible to reach a compromise between sexy and comfy. I have a very pretty baby-doll nighty that manages to be both.
I can see her putting on a sexy negligee for a night of seduction, but to lounge around the house while watching tv?
Get her the sexy nightie for fun, but try nice silk lounging pajamas for relaxing.
Or a long silk robe, maybe? One that’s easy to untie?

All of the above suggestions are good. I’d just like to add, though, that nothing would take me out of the potential mood faster than the implication that I’m an eyesore just because I’m not dressed like RuPaul.

Go for something comfy and pretty, like others here have said. Save the bustier idea for playtime.
My husband bought me a couple of revealing outfits for his pleasure. I can’t remember the last time I felt like wearing one. When I’m in for the night, especially when the weather’s cold, I want fleece. I want coverage. I want comfy. No way I’m going to lounge around in scanties…
Or, as a compromise, maybe she’ll agree to lounge around in a red bustier if you agree to to prance around in a leopard-print thong?

Get the goods and put them on her while she’s asleep. When she wakes up in the morning, and before she can say anything, embrace her and tell her how great she is for doing what you wanted. Let her know how much it means to you and how appreciative you are. You may need to drug her if she’s a light sleeper.

The more you push this, the further you get from ever seeing her in a bustier and hose, even during playtime. You’d be better off to just shut up about it.
Really, though, it sounds like you’ve been watching too much porn, or spending too much time watching Victoria’s Secret ads. Sexy underwear tends to be really, really uncomfortable and is extremely unsuited to lounging around. Loungewear must be comfortable above all else. If you’re tired of what she’s wearing, try getting her some jammies with a camisole top that’ll be a bit more revealing. Don’t be offended if she doesn’t wear them much, though.
Oh, and Dr.J pointed out that if she obliges you by lounging in this stuff and someone drops by to fix the cable or read the meter, she’ll have to do him and all his friends.

It is not an unreasonable request for him to want his wife to look hotter than if she were at a sleepover, especially since he indicates he just wants a change of pace and is probably safe to assume that his intentions aren’t to force her to do this forever.
As in any relationship, you have to compromise and that means that every now and then you’ll do something to make your partner happy that, quite frankly, is not the most intriguing possibility in your life right now.
