Lansing Mini DopeFest

Well, I personally had a lovely time - it was great to meet everyone! Because I was the only one being “clocked”, I had to leave about 30 minutes after I got there.

Wring, wonderfully, had ordered my lunch for me so I did get a chance to eat.

Again, it was great to meet everyone and finally put some faces with names.

Me too! and yr welcome BG (and by the way the sweater is to die for!), what else could I do since you were so kind as to tell me what you wanted???

great fun, you got back sooner than I - I had to stop at my accountant’s office (who bears a striking resemblance to RalfCoder - only ultra conservative - it was kinda like being in an alternate universe)

will have to set it up again. Parking in EL is less of a nightmare on weekends, so we can do BW3 or whatever next time (I’d even do El Az, just would eat before I got there :D)

oh, and Ralf I forgot to tell you - Melting Moments? Guy who owns it? I’ve known him since we were 5… Pembroke Elementary School)

Hi, folks. Thanks for the good company for lunch, and for showing me a great restaurant. I’m going back, and I’ll be daring enough to go for the medium level of spice. ::a gasp goes up from the crowd. “Can he do it?”, one asks. “Oh, the horror - he has a wife and child!” says another::

I like the idea of BW3 for a lunchfest again.

KimKatt, Bangkok House to downtown Detroit is probably 90 miles, give or take. Want to squander a perfectly good day on bad company and meandering conversation? We’re just the people to do it with!

And the general concensus was that we should do a get-together on a weekend sometime after the holiday craziness is over, so that Persephone, xploder, KimKatt, and all you other dopers who live somewhere in the Land of the Giant Mitten can make a pilgrimage here. (Note to the Ann Arbor crowd - we won’t make you wear green and white, unless you lose a bet)
