It’s about goddamn time they quit holding up production of this HBO series, one of the all-time greatest comedy shows ever made. It can be purchased on HBO for about $150.
I have ‘The Best Of’ collection. Can’t afford $150 right now.
Great show though.
Amazon will sell it to you for $112. Looks like they aren’t shipping until November, though.
I just read an interview with Garry Shandling in GQ. He’s been working on making the DVD Special Features section something that he thinks will be really, really worth watching.
Evidently, the extra features consist of real one-on-one interviews with various stars who appeared on the show. It took him a while to shoot them all, and that has something to do with why the DVDs took so long to be released.
If this is all common knowledge, I apologize in advance.
He did some of that on the “Best Of” disk set, but said that he just had no interest in doing all of the work necessary for a full boxed set with all eps included. I was astounded by the women this mutt had sex with, including Sharon Stone and Linda Doucett, who played Darlene, the hottie blonde in the series. He’s a very strange dude, which really comes out in the interviews.
I’d love to hear Hank sing “Spinning Wheel” again. I’m not sure I’d pay $150 (or $112) to hear it, though.
bwaaaahhhhh!
Netflix.
During the GQ interview, he talks about what a gigantic project it turned into. I’m glad he changed his mind.
