Zyada, I did eat there before - but it was in Orlando, like six years ago. I just meant that since I saw they expanded into Texas, I’ve been looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with the place. What did you have?
My company is having their monthly “birthday lunch” that day - but it’s being catered by Crapola Cabana, so I’d much rather skip it and pay to eat with you folks instead.
Ah - I had the oak grilled mahi-mahi with spinach and mashed sweet potatoes (which I think also had something else). The spinach was good, the fish a little salty for me (but I’m very sensitive to salt). The mashed sweet taters were alright, but I like my yams with lots of sugar and butter.
I’m a maybe. Life is absolutely nuts in the office for me right now. I’ve been moved into another group and some of my responsibilities are shifting. Transitioning my old responsibilities onto former co-workers(man they love that! I’ve already got effigies in a couple of cubes and they’re getting abused already) and finishing up some projects as well as starting new ones and getting acquainted with all my new management. Big mess and stuff is popping up unexpectedly all the time. If I can get away I will, but I can’t commit.
In Chicago, on a trip…again. I get back Friday evening.
Zyada I’ve had the jerk salmon, and I liked it - not too spicy, but just right. But after reading your post about the mahi, if you’re sensitive to salt then the jerk spices might be a bit much for you.
The tomato salad is wonderful - I don’t know if they make one that is a meal on it’s own or not.
