Last Friday's Late Late Show was a surrealist masterpiece!

I have no idea what’s been going on with the Late Late show since Craig Ferguson left but I got tipped off that something special happened on the episode hosted by Adam Pally last Friday. The entire episode is available on YouTube and it’s a must watch. The entire episode is just a surreal, Kaufmanesque, completely bonkers episode of television. There’s barely an audience due to the snowstorm, everyone seems completely unprepared and they seemed to have taken this as a license to go off the wall.

Anyway, did you see it? What did you think?

Umm, I hate to tell ya, but I thought it was totally blah… The guests weren’t interesting, the host wasn’t interesting, the sidekick wasn’t interesting, the band wasn’t interesting… I think I preferred the commercials!

The link in the OP has been taken down but just watched this episode (the same one?). I hated the first segment with the man on the street stuff, but somehow I kept watching, and I’m glad I did. Those guys really just went for it. The interview with the football dude broke me up (“do you bold?” - lost it).

No idea if they can make it work, but they have good chemistry, and they’re not interested in falling back onto cliches, which is a good thing IMO.

Clip of Pally getting the tattoo he talked about on the show (but didn’t make the aired version I guess).

I just felt compelled to watch it again. I gotta say, it grew on me like 3-fold. Brilliant.
