Lateral Thinking Puzzles - third time is best!

Is it flooding?

When a tornado comes and rips the rest of the house off?

No

and

Not directly, I don’t have a barometer but I cannot say no to this.

awesome! made be giggle…..No

also no.

If you lived underwater in a pressurized dome, would you still be able to gauge that one aspect of surface weather?

Can you sense low pressure by how long it takes your tea to boil?

no. I should emphasize that the house has all the normally built infrastructure, Electricity is hooked to the mains, plumbing and sewer hooked to city water and sewer, gas lines come in from outside to run the oven/stove water heater, ventilation draws outside air, conditions it and expels, all just like a normal house. etc.

what a good idea, but no. or rather, that might work, but its not the solution I was driving for

A drop in atmospheric air pressure as normally read by a barometer to predict weather, but air pressure is indirectly involved as mentioned up thread

should read:

A drop in atmospheric air pressure as normally read by a barometer to predict weather is not the phenomena, but air pressure is indirectly involved as mentioned up thread

Is any animal or other living being involved?

Is any animal or other living being involved?

No (adding five characters to appease the bot)

Does the puzzle involve the standard air pressure interpretation: high pressure means good weather and low pressure means bad weather.

Does the answer have anything to do with observing the rate of water evaporation?

no. It does not involve standard air pressure interpretation for good weather or bad

It does not.

Smog?

Not smog I’ll drop a couple of clues after a while

as a clue, or maybe its going to be an obfuscation…..

I note that I can detect the weather phenomena as it is happening….AND, if I happened to have slept through it or something, I can also detect that it had happened a few hours ago.

Is the weather event snow? Rain? Thunder? Wind?
