Leaping into the MMP

Do I wake **FCD **and ask if he wants to sleep or go to breakfast? I’m getting hungry! I could make myself something, but our weekend routine involves going out to eat. If I break the routine, it could foreshadow *Bad Things!! *

Maybe if I just go take a shower, it’ll drag him from slumber. It’s nearly 8, after all!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin and sunny out with a predicted high of 68 and sunny for the day. Temps will climb to the low 80s for highs durin’ this next week. Spring is with us!

No big plans for the day. The Snicker’s Marathon is happenin’ today. This usually messes with traffic all over town so we shall not venture into town at least this mornin’. Thus, no biggie plans.

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. I suppose I should consider purtification at some point as well.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

swampy, so your prayer beads are essentially a shortened rosary? Which prayers do you use?

doggio, you, sir, are no Barack Obama.

I’ll be off to the heathen mini-con after the breakfast dishes are done up. I’ll be working the registration table for the first hour.

Howdy from irk on a Sat. The whole vibe of the place is different on Sat.

Still have a BLURF though.

Stayed abed until 0730 and so far am having a clothing-optional day. Neighbors across the street are having a yard sale, so cars are all over (I’m at the end of a cul-de-sac). On the other hand, it’s bright and sunny outside after a gloomly week, so I might add some clothing and get out for a bit.

Happy Saturday!

For the second time. I posted earlier and the post went poof, so I took that as a sign and went back to bed.

It’s a chilly gloomy day, but Moonday should be in the 60s, and a spike into the 70s on Wednesday.

We lucked out yesterday. I forgot the testing center closes at 5 on Firday. We got there at 3:30 for a 2 hour exam and he finished by 5. I’m getting real tired of this wait until the last minute shit though. It’s too stressful for me - shouldn’t be, but it is.

Way back in my younger days I tried to give up school for lent. Didn’t work.

I have lots to do, not sure what order I am dong them.

We’ve breakfasted, gotten our stuff at WalMart (except for my watch battery - there was no one at the jewelry counter) plus I filled the car and we drove it thru the car wash. Productive morning. Yay!

I think I need a nap…

**sari **- you’re more patient than I am - I’d have told the boy it’s his responsibility to get where he has to go when he has to be there, or deal with the consequences. Then again, my kid was a latch-key kid at 9 - that would probably get me arrested today.

missred The buttered popcorn ones are among my least favorite.

Low key day around here so far. Husband is gone to a scout meeting for a training course he is working. Again. Humph! Oldest and Middle Sons are keeping to themselves so far this morning. Youngest Son is taking the SAT. The cat is scrunched up into a teeny tiny card oat box sleeping. We have larger boxes in the house, but she prefers the compact version. We have a pork roast in the crockpot for pulled pork later.

I went shopping last night for a swimsuit. After being unable to find one last year I figured I should get an early start this time around. No luck so far, as they seem to come in only two styles: granny or hoochie. The quest continues today!

The sprog’s midddle school quiz bowl tournament was today. His team went 2-2 and didn’t make it to the next round. I’m proud of him, though, because he showed up and held his own.

Up again. Corn bread almost baked. One child awake.

Still raining.

Hubby comes back from his trip tonight. Yay!

Also, the cats have “informed” me, in their own inimitable way, that we need more cat litter. There shall be laundry.

Easier to watch your back.

I’ve been cleaning the fecal matter of a large reptile out of a second hand 75 gallon aquarium.
“Shit”, Tom said appropriately.

Howdy Y’all! So far today I have done two loads of [channeling MOOOOOOM] laundry [/channeling MOOOOOOM], dusted and vacuumed the entire cave, made a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea (brunch Sunday tomorrow over to the church house), and had N.O.L. from the bar/restaurant just down the road. Go Me! In a little while I shall make a corn casserole to take tomorrow. Dindin shall be magic intartoobz pizza and sallit.

red Anglican Prayer Beads have seven “weeks” as opposed to the ten “decades” on the RC Rosary. I use several different prayers when I pray but two of my favorites are the Julian of Norwich Prayer and St. Patrick’s Breastplate. Those two prayers and others are included here.

flytrap I think you should win this week’s most tmi post award.

Lily yet another reason I am glad I’m an outie. Bathing suits are so much less complicated.

There are only 5 decades on a rosary. Now you know.

Amazingly, I just had a nearly 2-hour nap! I don’t nap, hence the amazement! And for the moment, my nose isn’t running, either! Amazing!!!

No, I believe that award should go to another MMPer. :dubious:

I have rain, too. Just got up, though, even with the Princess being a pest. I fed her when DH got up to get ready for work, she wanted LOTS of attention.

Must attempt some mine-out.

I was referring to the number of beads. The RC Rosary does indeed have five decades of ten beads each, whereas the Anglican Prayer Beads have seven beads per week with 4 weeks. Hence, Anglican Prayer Beads are shorter than the RC Rosary.

Corn casserole is bakin’ away as I post. In a little while I shall order magic intartoobz pizza and OYKW shall go to the place where it shows up and fetch it to da cave. 'Tis magic I say! Magic!

**swampy **- I’m gonna be nit-picky here. A decade refers to a group of ten, so saying a decade of ten beads is something right out of the Department of Redundancy Department. :stuck_out_tongue: I wasn’t comparing length with you, as I’m not a Republican presidential candidate.

I’ve got a couple of tuna steaks thawing for supper. We’ll have something veggie-like on the side, and maybe crescent rolls. I’ll figure that out when I start cooking.

I find it amusing that a candy bar is the sponsor for a marathon.

The winner is force fed a Snickers sup[/sup] bar, and is usually violently ill.
