I kind of wonder about my new boss. In the week I’ve known her, she’s been majorly stressed, so it’s hard to say what her normal personality is. She does seem pretty bright, though, so I can’t figure out why she picked the week BOTH office positions turned over (thus she’s training newbies in two positions at once) AND she’s dealing with kid drama to ALSO give up all caffeine. Seems like the wrong week to add that last problem to what she’s already juggling.

I knocked off around 1:30 today. I got the groceries anx laundry taken care of before coming out for comfort food. Fried chicken, turnip greens, okra and cornbread. Yum!

Mostly just on Fridays and a couple Wednesdays but basically — yeah. Its our time of denial and sacrifice. Or I should those who didn’t follow the Protestant Enlightenment. Me – I had a double cheeseburger, chili and some killer hot chocolate.
Tomorrow all day is a no-coaster coaster event; winter gathering where all the parks come in and wow us with their plans and describe the amazing things we’ll get to do this summer. Fun but too long. And sober. Things like this should include heavy drinking.

Howdy Y’all! We et dindin and then went over to the church house to make Anglican Prayer Beads and do prayers with ‘em. I have a really nice set of Prayer Beads so I did not intend to make a set but I did. I used wooden beads. The Cross is also wood and I used an Ichthus as the Invitatory. Anglican Prayer Beads in case you were wonderin’. This set looks kinda like the really nice set I have.

We had taco’s OLE’ twice this week cause they were so damn good the first time. Firday is usually steak night but I only like very expensive steak so may just make Firday taco night OLE’.
I found a 3 piece set of hard sided spinner luggage normally $340 on sale for $99 so I bought it in anticipation of my WA state trip in June. Now watch it not get approved.
I am for sure irking manana OLE! and depending how much I accomplish I may or may not irk on Sunday. I like the extra 30% pay for Sunday. Boss gave the okay so I may just make it a point to irk on Sunday too. Then I will have to take a day off in the middle of the following week so as not to go into OT or accrue any comp time. Works for me. Will miss the sleep I usually get on Sat and/or Sunday. May wind up napping at my desk afterall.

My bladder woke me around 4, but I crawled back under the covers and drifted in and out of sleep for a couple more hours. Then I heard the furnace kick on and realized I’d forgotten to add pellets to the stove last night. Can’t sleep with that on my conscience… :eek:
Higgs has been fed and the stove has been refilled. **FCD **is still sleeping and I don’t know if I should have breakfast or wait for him and go out for noms. Not starving at the moment, so I’ll wait a bit while I surf. We’re promised less-than-pleasant weekend weather, not that I had any outdoor plans. If I get really motivated, I’ll dust. I suggest no one hold their breath on that motivation.
