We’ll have a mini mumpfest anyway
Happy Firday! Tomorrow I am going to the Driehaus Museum to see an exhibition of the costumes from Downton Abbey. We will have lunch somewhere and p’raps I will find me some Garrett’s or Nuts on Clark Chicago Mix (cheese and caramel corn–NUMMY!)
Not quite 10AM and I’m out of work again. Due to the  SNOW  the schools were on 2 hour delay. Because heaven forbid our kids wait for the bus in  SNOW !!! Anyway, that makes Jason late, since he’s got a kid to deal with. And until he gets here and releases all the stuff that accumulating in his queue, I can’t work, nor can the guys checking my drawings.
But I’ve got an attitude and I’m not bothering with the boss. So surf away!!
Maybe I’ll check out the vending machine.
Good morning from the grey and dreary Bay Area. Rain yesterday. Rain and thunderstorms today.
Boy child woke up sick. He wouldn’t eat his brekkie. That only happens when he’s really off. Sunny son without brekkie is a disaster in the making. So he is staying home.
Girl child is technically awake. She needs to write 1-2 sentences on how moss feels to the touch, before school.
I continue with the second day of extreme migraine, as opposed to the intermediate kind I normally have. I feel like I’ve been punched in the face, with an extra helping of railroad spike through the eye. Stoopid head. I foresee bed in my future.
Geez Sunny that sounds absolutely horrible. Feel better soon. Thank Goodness I do not have migraines. All the rest of you sickies feel better soon too.
Blurf At irk of course. Where else would I be? I need to irk this weekend as I have two days of sitting in a classroom Moanday and Tuesday. But I may not. Just depends. I am not feeling it now.
Anyway Happy Firday all!!! TGIF, TGIF, TGIF
Where is the convention this year?
Oooops – just read. Never mind.
Or possessed by the spirit of Ronald Reagan?
We got a little snow overnight; just this powdered-sugar look to the world. And a few slick spots on the road. And they say Monday could be mid 60s. :smack: No wonder why everyone is walking around with the sniffles.
Jason finally showed up, so I’ve got work - or I will after lunch.
My watch battery died overnight - maybe I’ll stop at WalMart on the way home and get it replaced. It’s not an expensive watch, but I like it, so even if the battery costs half what I paid for the watch (it was $12) I’ll still get one.
Not coughing nearly as much as I did yesterday, but my nose is still drippy and I still sneeze occasionally. I foresee a weekend in bed, and not in a good way. dammit. I hate being sick.
Our roads aren’t that bad for walking on, since it snowed again and the snow covered some of the ice.
Maybe some snow will melt soon, since it’s supposed to be warmer next week. We have at least a foot of accumulated snow in the backyard.
Just has Tiramisu cheesecake that was fabulous.
I guess I will irk tomorrow since I am only one deep and we are crazy busy. Dang it.
I guess I killded the MMP
But you revived it, so there’s that. We were just all lost in a daydream about tiramisu cheesecake.
Not me, Rosie, I was being a good Catholic & eating lots of fish on a Lenten Friday , which is weird because I is neither a good, bad, mediocre, or any other type of Catholic. Must. Put. Away. :o
Home. I ceased being a good Catholic years ago, so I don’t feel guilty about the sausage in my breakfast biscuit or the Baby Ruth I had after lunch. I find it really hard to believe that a Supreme Being really cares about one’s dietary practices.
It’s cold and icky out and I’m thinking of warming up the rest of my won ton soup.
“The pig is not for you.” :dubious:
What does sausage in cereal (yuck) or a baby Ruth have to do with Catholic dietary rules?
It’s Lent. The Goys all keep Kosher during Lent.

In other news, how to handle this?
Grade school best bud, with whom I hadn’t spoken since the 70s, now thinks that because we’ve connected on facebook, I am her best bud again. In grade school we were pretty inseparable, but in junior high and high school, we ran in different circles and drifted completely apart by the time college was over. I know she’s going through a rough time now because her dad is very ill, but I don’t want to spend an hour on the phone listening to her cry or, worse, reminiscing about things we never did together. (she ran with the smokin’, drinkin’, greaser crowd - I ran with the nerds, geeks, and theatre folk) She texted me her phone number, I texted back I wasn’t home, cell battery’s dead, and the iPad doesn’t have a phone component. I did send her positive/healing vibes, but I just don’t want to talk to her.
But you still do elevators and lights on Shabbes, right?
You select what to give up for Lent, do you not?
Howdy Y’all! Irk is over (OK been over a little while). Let the weekend begin! YAY! Chikin quesadillas for dindin. OLÈ! Every thing is all prepped and will turn into quesadillas when OYKW gets here.
Spidey I’m sure the Nuns are all proud of you.
Feel better all you sickies!
rosie if she doesn’t take the large hint you dropped, since you have her number now, you could just ignore it provided it shows up on caller ID. I tend toward not answerin’ any call that doesn’t display a number so that could work in your favor as well. She will have to take the hint sooner or later.
Not exactly. No meat on Fridays of Lent. And giving up candy is a fairly typical Lenten sacrifice of self-denial.
And who said anything about sausage in cereal??
I have ingested the last of the won ton soup and the last of the heavenly hash ice cream. Not sure if I’m feeling better or not. I’m definitely tired - early bedtime tonight, methinks.
Having Greek salad, inspired by this recipe…
Church meeting via the Intertoobz tonight. & I’m teaching Sabbath School in the AM… so lots to plan for!
