**Red **- I left my phone home, too. I pulled it out of my purse when I got home yesterday to call and accept the job, and I left it on my desk. For all I know, Taz has been calling Kitteh Hotlines all day! :eek:
The server came back, and I had maybe half an hour of work. Now I have nothing. Jason isn’t here.
The boss wanted me to forward my letter of resignation to him via email - luckily, I hadn’t closed Word, because I hadn’t bothered to save it. I’ve told 3 people besides him that I’m leaving - wonder how fast the grapevine is??
I had a bad nights sleep, up at 1:30 and couldn’t go back to sleep. I was pissed off at a company I do business with and I was debating whether or not to call and complain about the rude service. I’m going to let it go, but if I need to use them again, I am going to request somebody different.
MetalMouse, I think I am getting a better deal. However, today all the paper irk came pouring in. I started it, then set it aside untl I feel more awake. They also want my 2015 taxes which aren’t finished yet.
I have to get Sah-son up soon to go take his math final. Then that class is done until the next one after spring break.
I hope he’ll use spring break to get ahead in the other ones. He’s getting stressed and that makes me stressed - because everything makes me stressed. I found an online class for anger/stress management, I can’t afford it right now but I’m making a plan to take it.
Howdy Y’all! Another day of irk survived. YAY! I have to make up pimento cheese sammiches to take to the church house in a bit. Slappin’ pimento cheese on sammich bread does not take a lot of effort or time even with the added step of cuttin’ each sammich in half. The crusts will not be cut off bein’ as this is not a fancy occasion.
Alas no napping on the job. I delved into a project I had been putting off and finished it. Whew, one more thing off the list.
I got an email today from our business manager that said " Butters has been assigned the M/M tech role as requested". Now I love me some M&M’s but how did they know? I sent an email promptly asking what pray tell is the M/M role? finally got an answer that it allows me to do some thing or other that I still don’t know what that is in SAP. Cart/Horse and all that. :smack:

Crap on a big ol’ stale cracker!!! Now that I’ve given notice, I’m not allowed to use my vacation. I will be paid for it, but I’ve got to work up until Mar 18. Dammit. However, I only have to do 4 hours on the 18th - I expect it’ll be lots less than that.
I also found out there was a bidding war for me - all 3 departments where I interviewed wanted me, including where **FCD **works! Too bad they didn’t win - that would have been sweet! On the down side, I may not be able to start at 6, and these guys don’t do the compressed work schedule, so I’m looking at 8-hour days again, which isn’t too bad. I may go to the gym first thing before work. We shall see.
**Butters **- the money is the same, but this company gives raises to performers, so I expect I’ll be making more before too long. Where I am now, your pay is set by the contract, so it’d be stagnant. Still, even without more money, I don’t have to drive on base, and that’s a biggie!!!
I told my boss I’d started looking because the workload was so light and I couldn’t just sit and do nothing. That was a bit of a slam at him… I also told him that not having to come on base was a big factor. Honestly, if I hadn’t gotten this job, I’d have been fine staying where I was - I’d just whine about it.
Well I guess you handled it well. Did he not respond when you told him you don’t like being idle i.e. wasting your time and the taxpayers money? Good for you. I am so glad you got something that will keep you busy and avoids the dreaded gate. I know all about the dreaded getting through the gate. Is FCD taking you out for a celebration din din?

Happiest of Humpday wishes to all! Missed you guys like crazy, but hopefully life is a little more on track now and I can pop in more. New job at the local hospital, where I finally get to work nights (awesome!) and now we’re getting ready for a family vaca. Things are slowly but Shirley getting better.
I’m the winner of a government grant, $9,300, because I am a good citizen and pay my taxes on time and have never been convicted of a felony. I can use this money to pay bills, buy a car, go back to school, or start my own business, they only ask that don’t use it for anything illegal. I can only get it once though and I never ever have to pay it back. They just need my account number so they can direct deposit into my account, and damn! Wouldn’t you know I was in the car and didn’t have that information with me?
They are supposed to call back.
Math final is done, took him the entire two hours this time. I didn’t think we’d ever get out of there. TaCOhELL FOR HIM, Mcd’s for me.
Howdy Y’all! Home from soup 'n sammich over to the church house. All the sammiches we took got eaten. YAY! Plus I brought home some lentil/mushroom/rice/snausage soup. There’s enough for us both to have N.O.L. tomorrow, plus I made extra pimento cheese so we can have pimento cheese sammiches as well. DOUBLE YAY!
