A great little episode. Everyone was apparently off doing their own thing but they were actually all part of the same storyline to save the Earth. Plus it managed to advance some of the individual storylines, notably Avalance, Zari/Nate, and Constantine. Good, tight writing for Jes Macallan’s initial outing as a director.
Call out to KCK - although my wife (a native) thought that where ever it was they were didn’t look like any part of KCK she’d ever seen.
Plot hole (in Legends? heaven forfend!): when the Earth is put in the bowling bag, there is a world wide eclipse (for lack of a better word). But no mention of light every where when out of the bag (except for where ever it is resting I suppose).
KCK = ?
Thanks,
Brian
Was I the only one who was bothered that the Evil Bowling Team only seemed to have three members? They’re so good, the can beat anyone, even bowling 25% less? Yikes!
Kansa City Kansas?
Well it looked like they only played 1 game total between everyone and were taking turns. So I guess it doesn’t really matter how matter people per team.
As noted below, Kansas City, Kansas - as opposed to KCMO.
Should have defined, my bad.
Astra sat out until Spooner injured her fingers and then bowled her frames, so the Legends still effectively had only three players.
I’m not a huge fan of Spooner, but her excitement about saving the world through the Power of Bowling was delightful.
well yeah - it was something right up her alley…
S06E12 Bored on Board Onboard
WATCH YOUR BACK - The Legends are ready to get back home, but after Constantine overloaded Gideon, they are going to have to go the old fashion way to preserve the ships energy. Trying to entertain themselves, tensions start to grow high, so Gary suggests playing a murder mystery game to pass the time. Constantine decides to make the game more interesting, which makes Behrad worried about him but is met with pushback from Zari. Meanwhile, Rory and Gary deal with an unexpected guest that arrives on the Waverider.
And so Constatine’s addictive personality is becoming a real problem. Maybe he should go back to smoking. It is likely going to healthier in the long run.
I thought this was going to be a bottle episode, set mostly in Constantine’s mansion. But it turns out that the game was just a contrivance to get most of the crew off the Waverider and for Kayla to return. And even that was a contrivance for Bishop being reconstituted. (That was Bishop singing “Space Girl”, wasn’t it?)
Based on the preview of next week’s episode – yes.

S06E13 Silence of the Sonograms
LETTING YOUR GUARD DOWN - With the Legends on high alert with their unwanted guest in their custody, Ava is tasked with the interrogation while Nate and Sara watch. Rory is struggling with the terrible pain in his head and Gary tries to help to manage it the best he can. Meanwhile, Zari enlists Astra and Spooner’s help to figure what is going on with Constantine.
On the one hand, the Legends do rather well at reforming people and turning them into allies (and Legends in some cases), I find Bishop incredibly annoying and distrustworthy.
I just gotta say Rory looks ridiculous with hair. It is distracting.
That was a pretty good episode. Rory looked goofy giving birth. Gary was amazing as always. The preview for next weeks episode really has got me intrigued. I’m excited to see where they go.
I thought I read somewhere that Constantine was leaving the show and I keep waiting for that so I guess I’m just happy to see he is still sticking around so far.
I thought this episode was going to be pretty standard A-plot, B-plot, and C-plot, with none of them having much to do with each other. But then the A-plot (Bishop) intersected with the C-plot (Rory). And it turns out Bishop’s playing a midwife to Rory was just a ploy to get to the B-plot (Constantine). That’s some great, tight writing.
I went digging and it turns out that the root code
Spaniel Broad Tricycle
that Bishop used to override Gideon was the same one that Rip used way back in S02E13 “Land of the Lost”. Change your passwords regularly, people!
S06E14 There Will Be Brood
GETTING ANSWERS - When Astra and Spooner find themselves as stowaways, they learn that Constantine is still chasing the Fountain of Imperium and find themselves in 1920s Texas. With the rest of the Legends stranded, they come up with a plan to get help by using Rory as bait that will also help reunite him with something that is special to him. Meanwhile, Spooner learns some information about her past that she wasn’t expecting.
I liked the Fountain of Imperium and it’s premise. That was out of the box. It looks like the thing I read about Constantine is coming true. I thought the premise they used to get Rory’s babies Mama to show up was dumb. Really, alien Tinder. Ok.
