Lego computer!

This dude put together a custom Linux box using Lego pieces for the case. If you don’t think that’s cool, well you’re just not geeky enough.

Ooooooh! That is so cool.

Cool, but woulda been cooler if he’d used colored legos.

I’m sorry, but that isn’t nearly as cool as it could be.

First, the top of the box needs to not have that layer of smooth tiles. How else are you going to stage knights vs. spacemen battles on the top of your computer?

Second, the legos needed to be colored.
I do like the windows, though.

I saw a better lego one somewhere, but I can’t find it now. Anyway, I like the fact that it’s lego AND linux. Maximum geekiness quotient.

Bah, a REAL geek would have built a difference engine out of Legos, then ported Linux to run his is niftly plastic mechanical computer.

This is my favorite Lego 'puter, even got a spot on top you can build stuff onto!

This however, is one of the coolest case mods I’ve ever seen. The writing on thw site is in Korean, but you can see a little movie of the steps he took to build it.

This one’s awesome too, his inspiration for it was Jules Verne’s Time Machine

that’s the time machine one.

This is not your average case mod.

The boyfriend spent his birthday making lego dinosaurs.

Somewhere online (not sure if its one of the links already posted, didn’t have time to look at them all) put together a Linux box out of a coffee maker. It still could make coffee, IIRC.

That’s not even a case, it’s a hatrack with computer parts hanging on it. Very bachelor geek. Therefore I don’t think my wife will let me imitate it.

This is nowhere near as cool as the Computerator.

I want ice to form on my heat sink too!
