Let's cast SDMB: The Motion Picture (or, who do you look like?)

It worked fine, you can just copy any hyperlink from your address bar and paste it into the Reply to Thread box and VBulletin does the coding for you. Very easy.

Jim

Well, I say Brett Butlerwould be just about right with improbably red hair and dark brown contacts. It’s mostly her rubber face and goofy looks that remind me of myself. Oh, we’re talking post boob job Brett, BTW… :stuck_out_tongue:

SO, on the other hand insists on either Meryl Streep or Kathleen Turner “in her prime.” Bless the near sighted dear, no wonder I keep him around…

It worked – but why you always linking to the thumbnail one rather than the full-size one? (which is a very cute pic, BTW).

If we’re going by that picture, I’ll cast this actress as you.

According to the entertaining site linked above, I could be played by such luminaries as Matthew Fox, Matthew Perry, or Stan Laurel.

I’ve always thought I bore a resemblance physically and personality wise to Topher Grace.

How about Anthony Rapp?

Well, to get back on-topic, the closest celeb-match to vaderspal is a Breakfast Club-era Ally Sheedy aged by 20 years.

On Anastaseon’s recommended site, the two “matches” that show up for both photos I gave it were Selma Blair and Sophie Ellis-Bextor (dark-haired version). Selma, maybe, but I don’t see the other one.

That site gave me Mena Suvari for one picture then I tried again and got Oprah Winfrey. Yeah, ok. Needless to say I do not look like either of them. I especially don’t have Mena Suvari’s huge forehead. Maybe she came up because the first picture was cut off at the top and didn’t include my hairline and thus the the software equated that with more forehead? Anyway, if the SDMB was made into a movie, I’d only be included in a large crowd shot at best. Not even enough to get me a page at IMDB.

Matthew Modine, in his role as Pvt. Joker

I would be played by Emily VanCamp, who apparently stars on Everwood, which I’ve never seen. Add five years and a curvier figure, and darker hair, and you’ve got me. I’m often blonde like her, but I’ve gone “natural” for the time being.

Howefver, the face recognition website gave me…Vaclav Havel. I kid you not.

That site is hilarious; it says I look variously like Richard Gere, Wong Kar Wai, and Karl Malone. The match I was happiest with (not because I particularly look like him – though I look more like him than Wong Kar Wai – but because I think it would be cool to look like him) is Jack Kerouac.

In reality, I’d probably be played by White Guy #2 – generic, not too distinctive looking bystander.

Someone once told me I looked like a young Jimmy Stewart. I’m happy with that too – he was a handsome guy, in his way.

My pride forces me back to amend this to 10 years, since she was probably in her early 20’s when she made that movie (as opposed to her “movie age” of 16ish). I’m only 36, and look young for my age.

More than one person has mentioned that I look (and talk) like Nicholas Brenden (Xander from Buffy).

Yeah, I see the resemblance. But I think I’m a closer match to Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica).

Dennis Franz will play the part of Panache45, but he’ll have to drop 40 pounds, and grow a few inches, and get a buzz cut, and grow a goatee, etc. etc. etc.

But Panache’s partner will be played by the love child of Tony Perkins (at the time of “Psycho”) and Antonio Banderas.

(It’s obvious who’s the hottie in this relationship.)

Awful strong resemblance to Sebastian, there, in the first picture.

I’m Asian, so we can cast Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat, Bruce Lee, or Zhang Ziyi.

Y’all white people won’t be able to tell the difference, anyway.

I have no idea how to link to a larger one–in fact, I have no idea that a larger one exists-such are my computer (lack of) skills/knowledge. I sent that pic to someone on the nursing site I frequent and she scanned it in etc–I have no clue how to make it bigger etc.
As soon as I posted, I saw that the link worked, but I know I am so bad at this, I was just trying to pre-empt the posts about it not working. That’ll teach me…something I imagine(what I dont’ know!).
Molly Ringwald? Nah-she’s a redhead–I’m a strawberry blonde (sort of). But thanks! At least it wasn’t Creature From the Black Lagoon…

Bah-just tried that site. My pic is taking 15 minutes to load? Don’t think so–so I guess it doesn’t work for me.

Thank god-it’d probably come back PeeWee Herman or similiar. In 7th grade, my Home Ec teacher told me that I looked like Alfalfa from the Lil Rascals–not a good thing to say to a 12 year old girl…

um, er, Matthew Broderick?

How ***YOU ** * doin’?

After much thought, I have decided to fire Winona Ryder and replace her with Mary Steenburgen, only younger and with less boobage. Hope that’s okay, tdn!

Not that the personality’s any kind of match, but these days I’m looking a lot like Bill Murray…

I sort of looked like Topher Grace when I was younger. Now I look like Topher Grace if he was a lot older and even uglier. Imagine combining all the worst elements of Topher Grace and someone ugly and tall with a square head - Penn Jillette, maybe, but without a ponytail.

Funny how so many SDMBers are to be played by drop-dead gorgeous actors. Things that make ya go “hmmmmm.”

Mine’s got to be Edward Norton. I get that all the time. Not Edward Norton in American History X mind you. More like Edward Norton in The People vs Larry Flynt.
