I had lunch with my science teacher in a hole because I’m NOT crazy!
Hmmm … not so funny as jess’s or swampy’s! I’m a loser!!!

(brackets mine) Y’know, this a wonderfully useful post. Just insert what ever is pissing you off between the brackets and save the last line as is.
Sorry about the mess…
I’m trying stevia in my tea this morning. It’s not too bad. I can tell it’s not sugar, but it doesn’t have that awful “artificial” taste of the pink, blue, and yellow artificial sweetner pouches.
Is there a reason why AdAware suddenly thinks it needs 256 MB of physical memory to install? I strongly dislike the new “anniversary” edition. I hope I don’t need to find another spyware cleaner again.
Okay, using my internet birthday: I licked a homeless guy in line at the bank because Big Bird said to and he’s my leader.
::wince:: Yeah, that does indeed blow a big raspberry.
Weather outside is…wet and windy. I don’t mind the rain; it’s the wind pelting it in my face that’s not so fun.
Sum total of plans today: pop by the neigbour’s for his 50th birthday later this afternoon. I think a nap will be had before then by both of us.
I’m settled in the studio apartment I’ll be living in for the next two months, and already I’m in love. I’m tempted to move into this building permanently. Also the thought of having a kitchen to myself again makes me very happy.
It’s off to bed for me - I have a workshop in the morning, blech.
I got:
I smelled a squirrel at the dinner table because I think I need serious help and someone offered me 1,000,000 dollars.
(my top is green and yellow)
Moonie, if snow makes you that excited, you ought to move up here to Canadia. We’re usually sick of snow by November. In fact, I have a small pile left in the backyard that I’d happily ship to you. (I do get a kick out of watching non-Canucks get giddy over snow, though… the Israeli developers I was working with got ridiculously excited over the stuff)
Congrats on being all settled into the new pad, Haze.
OK, time to get this show on the road. I’ve got a bunch of errands to run, and I’d like to get out there while it’s still sunny.
I ran over my sister in my car because I think I need some serious help.
And I’ll never get caught up here. Those who are getting a storm, stay safe. Those who are enjoying 80-degree weather, I’m jealous.
Right now I get sick to my stomach just thinking about my job.
Putting in a new hot water heater today.
The daughter and the boyfriend have not solved their problems, but she’s finally had a breakthrough on something else and I am very relieved. She is happier, so that’s the bottom line. And with her new plans, she will be coming home and paying less to attend school. A win-win for all of us!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
I jumped on a smurf under your bed because Big Bird said to and he’s my leader.
The party at my neighbor’s place was a blast. I didn’t win in any money at 99, but Mr. Taters did. It was a combo birthday/99 party and his girlfriend put out a huge spread for food. She’s an awesome cook. We’ve known this guy for just about six years now and he’s become a great friend. Any time he has a do, he wants us there. When he takes his boat out, he wants us there. He’s so nice and all of his friends are nice too.
We got home waaay late and then hubby decided he wanted to watch a movie. We didn’t get to see much of the movie because um…some recreational activity ensued.
I’m glad we’re not getting any snow. Y’all can keep it!
Mr. Taters needs to return the UHaul trailer we rented for the dump run, but other than that, I don’t think there are any plans besides some laundry and cooking dinner.
Congrats on being settled into the new pad, **Haze. ** It’s nice to have your own space.
Hang in there goddess.
I lost a filling out of one my teeth last night. Sigh, I cannot afford a trip to the dentist, much less a crown (it was a big filling). I actually now need three crowns. Dammit.
We had to help our other next door neighbor yesterday. Seems her husband is no longer living there and there’s a protection order against him. He’s been abusing her, but last week he left marks on their middle child (around 5 years old or so). So, he’s gone, which is good. Anyway, some old neighbors were there pitching in because their daughter and grandson are going to move in with this neighbor so we helped move heavy stuff around and set up a room for the daughter.
My poor neighbor. I would look at her and she looked like she wanted to burst into tears. I don’t know if it was anger or sadness or both, but she was trying to keep it all inside. So, she’d get kind of terse with us sometimes. I didn’t take it personally. She’s got three kids and now has to try and keep the house. It’s all very sad. We told her if she needed help around the house we were there to help.
Time for more coffee!
Sorry. Too sleepy to play the game. Maybe later. Nat had a bad night and is right now doing his Nap Protest. Go to sleep! I need you to sleep! I need a nap!
Up and breakfast and church and home and lunch and now the baby should sleep.
So I’m at work filling out some statistics when I run across a snerk worthy name: Randy Butts.
I loved Chuck Norris in line at the bank because I’m cool like that! Heh heh…
Good one, Spaz!
{{{jess}}}
Stay warm, FCM!
Just sayin’, Soapy…
I’m trying very hard to have some ambition but it’s not working out for me… Perhaps if I kick my own ass VERY HARD… nope, got nothin’!
Stoopid errands, grump grump…
ETA: W00t! First on eight, bitches!
It’s snowing. Big fluffy flakes, sticking on non-paved areas, so far. I watch the flakes hit the pavement, and they melt slower and slower, and some are starting to stick on dry areas of cement.
I’ve got a meatloaf in the oven, and shortly, I’ll peel some N.O.T. for smashin’. Haven’t decided what veggies we’ll have. I’ve also got to make some gravy. Ice cream for dessert. We’ve watched 2 movies (Office Space and Big Fish) and I did some serious knitting. We’ve also got a fire going because it’s chilly in here.
Now the question is - will we get enough snow to get a day off?? Time, and snow, will tell.
I yelled at a homeless guy in a hole because I’m cool like that
**Muppet **-- I think I’m that Israeli developer. Or I would be if I weren’t here in Israel. I go completely ga-ga every time I get to see snow up close :o
Also, every time somebody addresses **Moonie **it takes me a second to realize it’s not about me! Cool guy, BTW
Spaced out on Flu and on extra-strength cold medicine… read little, retained less. I’m probably going to hit the sack at 10:30 (so, like 25 minutes) – as soon as it’s late enough to walk the dogs…
See y’all in the next MMP!
Yeah, I checked that out… but the one mod whose avatar looked like black-face turned me off…
I know I can turn off avatars, but it was off putting to me. I’ll check it again, but we’ll see.
Feel better, Lunch!
I smelled my brother in an elevator because I think I need some serious help!
And it’s all true…
Oh, you wacky Jews. I seem to recall that some parts of Israel do get snow every few years, yes? However, if you’re feeling deprived, I can ship some snow over to you too. All you have to do is cover the shipping costs, and a box of fluffy white snow will be on its way to you ASAP.
OK, fine, probably more like grey slushy snow… it rarely stays white and fluffy for more than a half hour around here. But you get the point.
I ran into one of my colleagues at the grocery store. Turns out that she’s decided to leave the project, albeit very very quietly (Friday was her last day). Not a good sign, to say the least, since she’s got some connections to some of the higher-ups on the project and is very much in the loop. I think I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon dusting off the resume and trolling the job sites.
So, what’s new with you guys?
Oh, not much here except I just fell down and through the steps here in TVLand. And I’m trying to decide what to do next as I sit here with ice on my foot.
{Pie}
Poor pumpkin.
Smartie- we’ve been tag-teaming Ed, I’m afraid…
I’ve been watching that (boring day at work and I’ve written myself into a corner again). I’m so very, very tempted to tell Ed he missed shit, piss, and tits in his Words You Can’t Say routine.
Pie, down and through the steps? You don’t do things by halves, do you? Hope the foot’s okay.
Speaking of a million dollars, I’m pretty choked that Steven Pageis leaving the Ladies. But he was 18 when BNL was formed 20 years ago and now he’s a man with a new plan.
Oh, Muppet. I just saw your post on preview about it being resume tweaking time. Nuts!
The aforementioned nap was had, yet I feel un-perky still. I think the shower will take care of that, then it’s a zip to bank and grab a birthday card for the curmudgeonly neighbor (he crusty on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside).
PieYiYi! Fer goodness sakes, yokay?
::tucks in Noone:: 'Night. Feel better.
Taters, vibes for your poor neighbor and her kids. Big hugs for you and Spud (Mr. Taters) for being so kind. Also, boo for more tooth troubles.
Kay, must get my heinie off this couch. Laterz!
I had lunch with Chuck Norris in an elevator because I’m AWESOME.
Woke up at about 11:00 this morning to the sound of a soft voice murmuring “Good morning, puppy…” into my ear. Apparently Kitty (girl I like) and I fell asleep in each other’s arms last night; her mom found us out cold together in Kitty’s bed (thankfully with most of our clothes still on) and decided, in her words, “you were so cute, I just couldn’t bring myself to disturb you”. That made me smile. And blush, apaprently, cuz they both started giggling at me.
Also, we have learned that if Kitty nibbles on my ear or kisses my neck, I make a quiet little half-squeak, half-moan sound that is completely adorable :X
winces New piercing is a bit sore today, meh. 14g horizontal stud through the right nipple that Kitty did for me; looks nice but ow, bruising there is not fun. Ah well. Will be coming home again next weekend for a matching stud through the left nipple, as well as vertical studs through both sides so they form a pair of “+” shapes, and then once all those are in, Kitty’s gonna put a captive-bead ring through each side and string a little chain between them. Should look quite sexy when it’s all done; I’m looking foreward to it.
Anyways… made it home by about 2:00, then went to Kohls today with the little bro and the maternal unit. Buy-One-Get-One-Free sale on all shoes. I found a lovely pair of Sketchers that compliment my look perfectly. Discovered at this point in time that the sale only applied to Women’s, Junior’s and Kids’ shoes, NOT Men’s shoes; maternal unit was quite embarassed she didn’t read the whole sale flyer instead of just the biggest text and mockery ensued. Fun was had by the little bro and myself, not so much by her.
Chicken and Dumplings for dinner tonight, OM NOM NOM. Then I brave the elements (inc snowstorm) for the trip back to campus, hopefully in time for tonight’s raid in WoW. Or I could do homework.
Noone Special: Apologies for the confusion and thanks for the compliment!
FCM: Once again your post has made me hungry. Plz send leftovers for a starving college student! D: Oh, and some o the same snow you got has fallen here but it’s all melted by now. Much sadness. Office Space is a great movie.
Taters: I feel for you. I need two root canals which will both require crowns, and I gotta have all four wisdom teeth taken out. I try not to think about it too much.
Hugs to TaterNeighbor and Jess!
Off to pack up folded laundry and personal grooming supplies into the Cavernous Duffel Bag o’ Doom. I’ll do homework later, I swear…
