I’m sorry you weren’t feeling well tarra. I’ve only ever had one sinus infection, and it was god-awful. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

I mowed the back yard (front’s ok this week) and grilled some burgers. Then I showered. I’s tahred! I foresee ice cream in the near future.

My inlaws are planning to come for the surgery, which will add a little stress, but I know they want to be with their firstborn, and I can probably use the help. We should find out tonight when they intend to get here.
This is a hell of a way to get a week off work.

Well, I think today was moderately successful. We had a major project, and overall I think it went well. One of my coworkers drew a diagram to help explain what needed to be done (which was really helpful), but I can’t help but think it looks awfully phallic. But I’m at work so I can’t point it out to anyone! So I’m sharing it with you. Don’t you all feel so special?? 
I’m still here at 6:20, but for this kind of project (which comes up twice a year and is tied into our major source of revenue), getting out of here before 7 is good. So I’m not unhappy with that.

I’ve just returned from picking up my daughter’s next round of iron supplements. When I told her I was going to pick them up, she said, “Dang, I was hoping to get a night off from them”. Her color is definitely better, so hopefully, they’re working. I need to set up an appointment in the lab in the next week or two, so we can get her tested again for anemia.
I’m just a little bit hungry, but I’m afraid to eat anything. The dinner tonight with her advisory class is at an Italian restaurant. I’ll have to try and find something that isn’t too rich.
FCM, prayers and special thoughts for FCD and you as well, that you’ll be able to cope okay with all the worrying. Good thoughts for SpecialOne’s mother and hoping that her flight back goes well.
I just finished a bowl of Bunny Tracks - yum!
In-laws will be arriving on Friday afternoon or evening. They are, wisely, taking 2 days to drive here from Ocala. Otherwise, it requires close to 16 hours on the road or more (they’re in their 70s, so they drive conservatively.) Thankfully, they’re leaving their dog home - we don’t need 3 canines. Also thankfully, the guest room is pretty clean. But I should probably clear some space in the closet.

Bunny tracks? Hm, I’ve never heard of that.
We have Moose Tracks out here. It’s very tasty. I like both the vanilla and chocolate versions with hunks of chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter bits in them.
Sometimes, though, I want my ice cream smooooooooooth. No chunks, just a nice, rich, deep chocolatey taste.
I’m being booted from the 'puter. Ta for now.
Bunny Tracks is the same as Moose Tracks, but the chocolate covered peanut butter pieces are shaped like bunnies. It’s made by Blue Bunny, hence Bunny Tracks.

Day 2 of 3 day training is complete.
Just 'cuz you’ve all been wondering, this is the training I’ve been at. That’s a major thing in our school district, and in fact in town - the Police, park District, etc all use and encourage the program. I’m being trained to be a teacher/presenter kind of a thing. Take the program to teachers, other district employees, and different groups around town.
The principals swear by it, you don’t go anywhere in the district without seeing pillars and colors, and such.
Anyway, I came home, made dinner and plan to do nothing the rest of the night.

You should try Turkey Hill Baked Apple Dumpling ice cream, FCM. Yum yum! In fact, I just may have to dish myself up some.
Tillamook makes ice cream now, Taters? Oh, be still my beating heart, I’m GOING to Tillamook! I grew up on their cheese, which is of course the best cheese in the world, but Tillamook ice cream? I plan to be in ice cream heaven by this time tomorrow night!

I worked a very slow day today and then went to the grocery store. Rude peoples in the store, but clerk was nice. And I found something fantastic!

Not choc covered marshmallows (although those are also wonderful)–but chocolate flavored marshmallows! And they are so good…this could be the answer to my chocolate [del]addiction[/del] habit.

Tomorrow is not going to be fun–we have 27 cases AND 4 cardiac caths. I have been so lucky these past few month. I have truly only had one insane day in same day surgery. Looks like that will change tomorrow. :eek:
I’m home. They are changing the back office PC tomorrow morning. There will be no debit/ Discover card for an hour or two. :eek: Wheter it goes well or not, I’m leaving early.
I hope FCDs surgury goes well.

I’m shutting down, folks – I’ll be back home Tuesday evening, but don’t have any idea when I’ll be back online after I get home since I may want to just go to bed to recover from all the fun. 
I’ll take lots of pics for the 10/1 MMP. I doubt I’ll be on while I’m gone, unless I find an internet cafe somewhere for a few minutes. So don’t everyone have too much fun while I’m gone! I hope Special One’s mom gets back home safely, and good thoughts going out to all the other folks with medical issues.

Roo, I don’t eat Cheez-Whiz - hubby thought that runny/squeezy cheese would be good on Nachos. I tried to convince him it was some conspiracy by the American cheese industry to kill the Arabs, but he wouldn’t believe me!!!
Driving around here isn’t difficult, but when it’s so darn hot outside, it’s easier to get someone else to deliver than to get the baby ready in her capsule, go outside, start the car and the AC, lock the car, wait inside in the air-conditioned house for 5-10 minutes for the car to cool down, take the baby out and strap her in, then go buy milk or eggs or whatever else it was that we ran out of mid-week. Not to mention the reverse process when we get home - take baby inside and settle her on her mat, go back to the car and collect the groceries, start putting the groceries away, stop putting the groceries away while I run to tend to a grouchy baby, return to putting groceries away (pause mid-way to curse whoever’s dumb idea it was to have a baby (D’oh - that would be me! )), then finally slouch down on the sofa to sing ridiculous songs to bored, restless baby!!! So, yeah, delivery is just easier - then I only have to deal with putting the groceries away and dealing with the baby!
I missed pirate day - I spend so much time talking and acting like some kind of children’s performer that talking like anything other than an adult in my spare time just doesn’t register! Sorry!

I can see how you would be helped by delivery. But people here in hot areas have the same problems, but there’s no delivery here. I was wondering about why there was a difference. I’m glad for you that there’s delivery there though. It must be a huge help.

I am awake right now, at 3:30 a.m. our time, because Bailey, who is officially the Stupidest Cat in the World, as well as in massive trouble, woke us up at three. He was positioned at the bedroom window, which is directly over my head (about four inches higher than the beadstead) and freaking out like a rockstar.
Hissing, moaning, screaming… and spraying. On the pillows, the curtains, the window ledge, and the edge of the bed. We didn’t check what he was hissing at. It’s likely another cat or possibly a raccoon. When we picked him up he hissed and moaned at us, and then lay on the bedroom floor, making vacuum-cleaner noises.
We have Nature’s Miracled everything, it’s good I was doing wash today (tomorrow?) in a few hours, and I am too adrenaliny to sleep.
Idiot, idiot cat. I’m going to lock him in a small metal box, and only let him out once a day to use the litter box. And maybe feed him. If he’s being particularly good. Anyone want a cat?
