Texas Crawfish Festival - MMP

We had a great time! The crawfish were good, but watching all the kidsandpeopledancingwas the best part. We scoped out a front row seat under the tent i the shade, and watched all the people. The zydeco band was da bomb, especially the rubboard guy!

Later, we rode one carnival ride, the spinning cups. No pics, but it’s a funny story. The ride operator had to clean out one of the rides (somebody puked.) We got on that ride with four kids, one of which had sat in said puke which prompted the cleaning! Mr Rebo was making all the kids laugh pretending to puke on them. They were screaming and laughing - it was a hoot!

Then we saw the ponies at the pony ride, and gave the one a good scritch. He kissed me on the lips!

Woot! I’m FIRST! Finally!

Looks like a great day, rebo!

Screwed up the scritch photo.

Wow, great photos, Rebo, and it looks and sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing. Bonus: pony kiss!

I need to get to bed … night folks, see ya in the morning.

:smack: I should have said he kissed me on the nose. :smack:

Terrific OP. I’ve never done the Crawfish Festival but I have some a Buzzard Festival, several Maple Sugar Festivals, Saranac’s Winter Fest and the KielbasaFest in Plymouth PA (you gotta YouTube that one - it really does rock in many strange ways.)

Check out their t-shirts -------- they are cool as Hell.

Oooooh, that looks like a fun festival, Rebo!

Why am I awake???

GT

That looks like a ton of fun, rebo, well, except for the puke part. :stuck_out_tongue: Cute pony kiss pic!

Pretty much a cloudy/rainy weekend here. Spent most of it doing chores. Back to irk this morning.

Tupug

Looks like a fun festival, rebo! And bonus pony-kissing too!

Nothing exciting here, I am irking and just debating whether or not to disappear into the shadowy depths of the filing cabinets under the stairs. If I’m not back this afternoon, send the search party.

Mmmm Crawfish…yummy!

Pony kisses are sweet as well

So I am at work doing nothign really useful but I get to be on vacation tomorrow and Wednesday instead of today. But I have a very very early train plus the Eurostar will be nuts as they are all sold out. Oh well it will be worth it to spend my birthday with my family.

In other news the British Navy are coming to the rescue of all those stranded travellers… BBC News - Royal Navy ships to return Britons stranded by volcano it might be worth going to Madrid to be ‘rescued’! :stuck_out_tongue:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

Rebo looks like a good time was had by all! I lurves me some crawfish! NUM!!!

Guess what? I shampooed the livin’ room rug. That counts as work so I can say I did not totally sloth all day. Go Me. Ok, it took all of 10 minutes to shampoo the rug, but it’s gotta dry and be vacuumed afterwards so it’s a good two hours work total. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

I has decided that after lunchin’ with the ladies, I need to go get a haircut and since haircut place is in the same area as the good Mexican place it must be fate.

Ok, need more caffiene and some food for rumbly tummy.

Later Y’all!

Looks like a good party, Rebo. I’m up, caffeinated, and off to irk.

I assume the festival was Saturday? We had near a full day of rain yesterday which benefited Saturday’s full day of planting greatly. Okay, I gotta ask… whoever called Uncle Ralph, had they eaten too much crawfish?

The wife had emailed me that kids had Mr. Bubbled our fountain again, which I’d recently landscaped, hence last MMP’s question about the harmony between plants and soap. I’m not really a ‘fountain guy’ but it came with the place and I’m givin’ it a go. And yes, they topped it off again yesterday for good measure.

Oh, I just realized I’ve been to the Crawfish Festival before years and years ago, probably about '95 and in a prior life. Isn’t it off 45 somewhere, maybe OT Spring? Yeah, definately worth the trip over.

I was wondering… I was going to start in on an anatomy lesson!

Looks like fun!

Yes it was in Old Town Spring, and we went Saturday. It was partly cloudy and cool, especially when the breeze blew. It’s a wonderful little town with tons of kitschy shops full of overpriced crap!

Our AC is out here at work. Gotta be 80°F already…

I’m dyin!

ETA: Sorry about your bubble problem, lieu.

Rebo, lucky the pony didn’t bite your butt…

I got nuttin’ but blurfs.

Livin’ room rug is all cleaned, dried and vacuumed. I am also all cleaned and dried but I did not vacuum myself.

Extremely crappy day here. Apparently business-persons aren’t supposed to have feelings, but I do. :frowning:

Blurf and a drive by: don’t want to be here at work. It’s supposed to be nice today, yet, here I am in my windowless office.

Starting to wonder if the new cateteria’s coffee was of a lower octane or if someone screwed up and put decaf into the wrong brewer.

There seems to have been a changing of the pollen. I’m more allergic to it and it’s not quite as green as the oak stuff. Ridiculous at any rate - I’d used a phone on Friday afternoon, and two hours later, it was already haunted house-level dusty, like it hadn’t been touched in two years.
