Let's go Brandon

Oh, you mean you answered my question before I asked it?

And “Yes, let’s wish Brandon Brown a Merry Christmas” doesn’t open the door to “What a clueless, Sleepy douchebag! He either couldn’t hear, couldn’t process (my vote!), or didn’t have it explained to him that he’d just been insulted righteously by the cleverest riposte ever to a sitting POTUS! LGB!!!”

Except she was maskless at a crowded bar also

I think you guys are putting a lot of energy into arguing with someone that explained right in this thread exactly what they’re doing.
Notice the use of the word aware (in it’s various forms).

Now notice what he calls people that say the president is “unaware”.

ETA: I just want to requote these two next to each other (italics mine)

Is Joe Biden clueless because he wasn’t aware that the statement is an insult or are some conservatives clueless because they aren’t aware the statement isn’t insulting?

Just imagine, for a moment, how the previous occupant of the White House would have responded if someone called in and told him to fuck off (obliquely or not).

Biden’s response was refreshingly normal compared to how Trump would’ve responded. And normal is what I voted for.

Yes.

That’s why I didn’t bother to reply to you the first time. As to the rest of your post, I still don’t find anything in your response that I can be bothered to reply to.

Hey Joey_P,
You’re right. I used the word “aware” a lot. If I continue to comment in this thread, I’ll use a thesaurus to select synonyms and avoid that word.

But out of curiosity, what do you think I’m doing other than saying that Joe Biden is:

heedless, negligent, oblivious, unconcerned, unfamiliar, uninformed, incognizant, blind, careless, daydreaming, deaf, doped, forgetful, inattentive, insensible, mooning, nescient, not all there, out cold, out of it

The annual NORAD Santa-tracker calls are supposed to be for and about children. It’s a customary lark that POTUS and/or FLOTUS take a few of these calls.

I’m really not sure what some of you expected the President Of The United States to say on such a call, in reaction to such a puerile and churlish insult, but it really does say more about you than it does about the President.

Biden was being mocked and was incognizant that he was being mocked. The incident’s pretty low on the scale of Presidential bloopers. Probably about the same level as Trump’s “covfefe” blooper. What’s preposterous is anyone who’s trying to say that it was anything other than an oblivious moment. And obviously, the previous sentence should reflect back on me as I’m someone who’s judging Biden on his blooper. But I’m not really judging Biden on that moment of senility. Instead, I’m judging people who think the incident was anything more than a momentary bit of cluelessness and are trying to explain it away as something else.

It’s inarguably true that this is what you think, but isn’t something you can possibly know.

Thus my comment about the Rorschach Test aspect of this.

[But I’m sure Tucker Carlson would agree with your take … FWIW]

If you were under the impression that my post was merely about you using that word multiple times then you’ve successfully addressed, or at least acknowledged my concern.

I explained that pretty clearly. I’m assuming you didn’t read through all your quotes. I even pulled two out and quoted them a second time just to emphasize it. To be clear, what I think is unrelated. I only grouped together some of your quotes where you explain exactly what you’re doing.

So explain this to me. The phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” is a verbal substitution for “Fuck Joe Biden”. Why did Joe Biden say a verbal substitution of “Fuck Joe Biden”?

The easy answer, and the most likely accurate one, is that he didn’t quickly recall the phrase. That’s an indication that Biden is a bit slow-witted. Every riposte to this easy answer is that Biden hadn’t been told about the phrase, which means he has an incredibly incompetent press relations team, or that he was countering the insult, which has no justification other than Biden fandom.

See my previous post.

Yet another thread I no longer need to read, and another poster I no longer need pay the slightest attention to.

Nobody has ever given a shit about let’s go Brandon. It has never triggered a single liberal. It is quite possible it is the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of as long as I’ve paid attention to politics. It is bereft of content, it is meaningless, it is infantile. The only thing it “triggers” is big time second hand embarrassment for anyone using it and thinking that anyone cares.

Using this phrase during an event for children thinking its a “gotcha ya” and then trying to use his lack of taking the bait and not giving a shit about the playground childishness to criticize is almost as infantile as the original phrase. Will the right ever grow up again and start being adults, or is this all we can anticipate for the foreseeable future?

Exactly! It is a term used by childish morons.

Sorry. Google tells me that me that being “unaware of the insult” means that I’m being inadvertently racist. Not sure how that applies to Joe Biden.

But if you’d like to know the meaning I intended for describing Biden as “not aware”/“unaware”, I meant that he’d probably been told about “Let’s Go Brandon”, but didn’t remember what he’d been told. The guy is 79 years old after all, so shouldn’t be expected to remember everything. Really he should be forgiven for being a bit slow-witted, EXCEPT that’s he’s the President of the United States!

Your surrender is acknowledged.

Meh. You either know what I’m talking about or you don’t.
Either way I don’t really care.

Oh, everyone else gets it. Wrenching_Spanners is just trying their theory of “ignore it or play stupid” that they think would have worked so well for Biden. And it obviously isn’t.
