I don’t remember if I did this or not when you were up here or not but -------- I ripped off a habit from one of the guys in the Electric Amish who is like me; as long as it qualifies as some sort of beer he’ll drink it. So when he goes into a bar he starts with whatever is on the tap at the right, then next to the right, then third from the right and so forth. Or if they have a line of bottles on display he does the same basic thing. If he makes it to the end (or choices are limited) he works his way back and forth. It seems like sometimes it gets you remembered - one bar I only visit during Santarchy once a year remembers me to the point of asking “So - you starting from the right or left tonight?”
Mr Humble has rearranged my face all lovely and Santa-ish and I got to pet his dog for about 20 minutes. Work was fine and all is right in my world for now.
:smack: Really racking my brain over this one happy though a day for a whole week. Trying to think of one for tomorrow and coming up blank.
Batboy congrats on the projects.
Wetone good job with the 5K!
Ruble now that the beard is the right shape, do you spray it white for Santa-duty?
Swampy congrats on the dishwasher. New appliances are nice.
Other than that I haz blurf.
You have me for a friend, what could be happier than that!
I survived work, they started playing Christmas music.:dubious: Gonna need extra beer tonight for that.
Congrats! And welcome to the MMP!
Welcome, DeeDee!
{{{{Butters}}}} At least you have Louie.
Baker, beautiful sermon.
Ruble, I don’t remember. It was all hazy after that 4th shot of tequila, anyways.
Good morning! I woke at 4 this morning, absolutely furious at Denny’s - you know, the restaurant. I was having a dream that we’d stopped there to grab a quick lunch before heading back to work. I ordered a ham-n-cheese sammich and the server kept coming back to ask if I wouldn’t rather have <insert random items here> instead. I replied that I wanted my sammich, and why was it taking so long? Finally, I got fed up and just left, and suddenly, I was on a school bus. But when I woke, I was so ticked off at that server!!! And I have no idea why it was Denny’s - we quit going there some time back because of marginal food and lousy service. My brain is weird.
But we have a few pleasant weather days ahead - at least till the chill returns on Sunday. I remember to pull some ground beef out of the freezer so’s I can make a big batch of sketty sauce tonight. And it looks like I’ll have sufficient work to do at the office, so it should be a good day.
**DeeDee **- whereabouts are you from? We don’t need an actual address, but a geographical area would be nice.
Happy Tuesday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 40 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 76 and N.O.S. for the day. Another day of open windows, so YAY! For some reason flytrap is tryin’ to goad me into moppin’ but it ain’t happenin’. So There! No big plans for the day outside of a couple loads of laundry. I’m thinkin’ a trip to the liberry may be in order. I have a small roast beast in the slow cooker. It shall become my version of Philly chesesteaks for dindin along with oven fries.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify if’n I’m goin’ out and about the public. Plus, laundry awaits!
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Hockey tonight.
blurf My happy news of the day; I got up thinking it was 730 and rushed, rushed to get out the door cause I have a 9am meeting and an hour commute. When I got into the car it was 7am so I got up at 0630 and now I have to kill an hour before my meeting. So, I shall be on time for my meeting. How happy is that?
Yes Sari I am happy you are my friend. Yes dogiooo I have my Lucky Louie. I left him home again today. I may have to make this a short day.
No; I usually go with the normal gray. If you look at the video from the other week or check out my portrait picture

it is gray enough to work. Back before it was I tried both dye and spray and didn’t like the results from either. The dye ended up with a lot of yellow (in my younger days my beard had a lot of red in it) and the spray looked like some kind of bad flocking. Back then I trimmed short and went artificial. But since the color is acceptable now and “natural beard” is like an extra $20 per hour on the usual Santa-scale ---------- what you see is what you get.
I remember the first day better. Being the driver on two wheels meant someone had to remember what was going on! Especially after the chili and that old lady comic at the dive bar.
(You on the other hand — I had bungee cords available if I had needed them.)
Edit — WOOHOOO on page two!!!
Nice hat.
I am so GRRRRRRR. I fuckin HATE that SSA, NYSoH, and DSS don’t talk to each other. I. Trying to renew my Medicaid, but I can’t because someone signed me up for Medicare! I never authorized that! Meanwhile, Medicaid and UHC expired, and I’m thinking I’m uninsured. Well, I’m sort of not because I haven’t paid the Part B premium yet because I DIDN’T KNOW I WAS ENROLLED IN MEDICARE!!! And everyone is all “we can’t fix this, you have to” and I am ready to rip someone’s face off!
Both hats in the portrait gallery are actual “Amish issue”; what they actually wear and not what they make/sell to the Tourons. The straw is actually my favorite; it keeps me warm in winter and cool in summer and after 20some years it still is/looks as strong and good as ever.
Heeeere’s Tally, the wonder student! She’s a bit bigger than this now, I need to take more pics.

Happy Toosday!
It’s a partially N.O.S. 55 degrees outside, it’s going to warm up a bit around here until Sunday.
It’s time to mow the wild flower patch I think, but I looked over Sah-son’s school work for the week (yes, I’m nosy that way) and he is going to be swamped. I’d better not expect much from him this week. His Geology class is creating a wiki page and it looks like it’s going to be a hell of a lot of work.
Squee! She’s a cutie.
DeeDee, excitable is simply terrier nature. Obedience classes may help though.
Still covered up. Beats boredom by a mile.
Thx, she’s a wonderful puppy
Puppiespuppiespuppies! Love puppies. My happy thought for today–going out to dinner. Other than that my foot still hurts from Ariel grinding it, although the acupuncturist kinseotaped it.
{{{rosie}}} surely someone there at the hospital (social worker perhaps) can help guide you through the maze. Most likely you got immediately enrolled in Medicare when you were awarded SSDI. Still you should have been told that would happen so you could make sure you had coverage. You have every right to be all GRRRRRRRRR! I’m all GRRRRRRRRRRRR! for you as well.
DeeDee Tally is such a keeeeeeyooooooootie! I just want to smooch on her and give her tummy rubs.
