Howdy Y’all! Mowage has been completed. We are all showered and in chill mode for the rest of the day. I foresee nappage. We mowed, the neighbors on both sides mowed, and the neighbor across the road mowed. We rest on our not the worst yahd in da hood laurels! 
A complete mess…and this one certainly is!
Back from the Dollah Sto’ - they’ve got an ample supply of TP. I don’t need any, but it’s nice to see that things are slowly getting back to normal-ish. Also, that place is always crowded! It’s a Dollar General - dunno where that falls in the hierarchy of dollar stores, but this particular one always seems to have half a dozen cars or more in the lot.
Next on the list - folding the unders that I just pulled out of the dryer. It’s clouding over, but I’m pretty sure it’s hot enough that the shirts I hung out this morning are already dry, too. I’ll bring them in next.
Since SIL is working tonight, I’m thinking supper may be clean-out-the-fridge again. Or grilled cheese sammiches. Who knows.

The forecast was for drizzle in the morning, clearing by about 1pm. At 2, I decided to head out for a nice walk in the countryside- I’d got as far as the car when the drizzle started back up, and proceeded to get rained on for the entire walk. Oh well. At least it means it was quiet; the tourists are arriving in force, so everywhere is getting pretty busy, which is more than a bit unnerving- pretty much by definition, the people showing up here on holiday will be the people not being all that careful.
Even one of my axolotls appears to be getting involved in the whole sick pets thing; he’s suddenly decided he won’t eat the axolotl food I’ve been giving them for his whole life- he’ll only eat earthworms. This either means buying earthworms in bulk from fishing shops (and winding up with loads left over, because between the two 'lotls, they’ll eat a max of maybe 4 worms a week), or sneakily filching them when I’m out for a walk… Guess which one I’m doing?
Afternoon all. flytrap, you’re probably right, but a new wired mouse was only $7.99 and it works fine, so it was worth getting out of the house for a little bit. County has said “masks mandatory” for most businesses, and didn’t see any violations.
flyboy, you ought to tip the pre-teens too, sounds like they are putting in some hard work themselves. Expect picture once it’s done.

boo fae, here in the Colonies I think we call it a “s*** storm”, but either way, know that you’ll manage it.
FCM, we have two–Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Dollar General seems to be the more ‘organized’ place, but the Tree often has what I want, so who knows.
Nut, foraging for worms to feed your salamanders is above and beyond the duties of a pet owner. I salute you.

I allowed myself to get a slow start this morning. I’m about to put on an audiobook (the interminable Antifragile by the pompous Taleb) and continue sorting boxes of office materials in the living room. If the sun comes out, I’ll take some yard photos for a friend on the East Coast. Today’s superordinate task is the eating of vegetables from the fridge. Last night’s dinner included fried shishitos, leftover lentil “pasta” and vegetable sauce, a composed salad (kohlrabi, daikon, cuke, tomato, broccoli), and strawberries. Today includes salad leftovers, beets, sauteed greens, and maybe making napa cabbage sauerkraut.
You need to watch more Gordon Ramsay! Although I think he’s more likely to call it “dog’s dinner.”
Ever clean your computer mouse?
Get a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a few Q-tips. Unscrew or pop out the cover that keeps the ball in place, then remove the ball. There are three teeny tiny rollers inside. They are notorious for collecting lint and gunk. Use the alcohol-moistened Q-tip to clean the rollers. You may need to use a fingernail to scrape off obstinate gunk.
Wipe off the roller ball, then replace in the mouse.
You’ll be surprised to see how nicely the mouse works afterward!

Just back from a late walk with Roxy. I walked and pushed - she rode in comfort. It’s HOT out there but we were only out about 30 minutes. So I got my exercise in and she got some fresh air.
Supper will be whatever. FCD wants a meatloaf sammich. I may make myself a mushroom omelette. SIL has gone to work. Daughter has been applying for a pre-approved mortgage. I’ve finished all the laundry, so I was productive today. Chillage shall ensue.
Yep. One of my co-workers sighed one day and said, “Some days, there just isn’t enough chocolate.”
Went to the dog park, Lucy was there.
We didn’t stay long, it is too hot. Even Echo was ready to go.
My son’s diploma came today.
Now I have to find a frame for it.
They said that my results will be back in a day or so. I am convinced I have COVID, but I hope I don’t.
Dinner will be everyone forages.

Howdy Y’all! I did manage to make sup which has now been et. OYKW cleaned up afterwards. Go Him! OK, he does that a lot. I do most of the cookin’ even though he can cook, and he does the cleanup. When he cooks, I do cleanup. We’re nice to each other like that, dammit!
