snatches up the dropped sword and shield and prepares to join the fight
“One of you might want to get that axe!”
snatches up the dropped sword and shield and prepares to join the fight
“One of you might want to get that axe!”
Santo, that one’s all you. I don’t know how I feel about weapons.
Rolls for grope, rolls for 2nd grope
OK.
It’s probably a good bet that when you’re being attacked, you’re in favor of them.
Sorry, I phrased that poorly. I should have said…attempts to snatch up the dropped sword and shield
(I promise…I’m usually a better RPer than that!)
Well sure, but Rugger probably is too.
I am going to hide behind the nearest tree. How long does Antinor have the effects of the last ritual? Can I perform it again and give it’s effects to glee and Santo?
It’s OK. Grope is the correct term for the action.
NAF, yes you can use the ritual again. I think the effect lasts 10 minutes.
A a short stocky guy pops out of nowhere weilding a sword and a dagger. He stabs a fowlspawn in the belly. It strikes back rather poorly. This gives the man a serious advantage – which he blows big time. A few more comically bad swings later, and he stabs the creature in the belly again, dropping it.
You’d think the things had had enough. Nope, their resolve is stronger than ever.
To be continued tomorrow…
attempts to grab the ax before the end of the Day
ETA: Not sure how much I’m going to be around this weekend… I haven’t gotten my internet up in my new place, and I don’t come back to work until Wednesday.
I will greet the men with a crisp “Welcome friends”, then try to join thr fight:
At last count, three are down and five are still at you.
Let’s call them two with mangs and three with axes.
One faces Antinor, both with mangs and roudshields. Antinor is blessed with extra endurance.
NAF is hiding but is being attacked with a fowlspwan. Handaxe to the right hip. That’s 3 inrury levels, and you go into shock and collapse.
glee is faced by a mang foe, and is unsurprised. You may use a fist or foot.
Santo may strike at any one of them.
Before NAF falls, he blesses glee with extra END.
One intiates an attack towards the dagger-and-sword guy with an attack.
For those that can defend, choose a block (with availabale weapon), dodge (usually risky), or counter attack (always bloody)
glee uses whichever of foot or fist seems more familiar to him.
He wants to finish it quickly so he can tend to NAF.
(I wasn’t clear if I was actually being attacked or do I go first?)
If I’m being attacked…
Antinor blocks with his shield and then if I’m able to attacks
If I have an opening…
Antinor strikes at the foulspawn facing him
(now that I’m armed, I wouldn’t mind seeing my stats in the control thread)
Oh and, I will grab for a weapon to defend myself if I can.
Kinda hard to to when you’re in shock and collapsed.
attacks the character(s) putting NAF in the greatest danger
responds to all attacks with a counter attack
Updated combat stats are in the control thread.
Antinor, you are being attacked with a mang.
The Gargun hits you solidly, but your defense is superior. You have a tactical advantage. You hit back but your hit is blocked. You attack again and break your foe’s shield.
glee, you kick your foe solidly in its right forearm. It is injured (M1). It just barely manages to keep control of its weapon.
Santo, going for all-out combat, hits his foe in the upper left arm, also an M1 injury.
A spearman strikes at a Gargun, and breaks its shield.
glee, you notice that NAF is bleeding from his hip.
An axe-wielding foulspawn strikes the original spearman, and misses. The spearman strikes back and also misses. Both were so clumsy that they dropped their weapons.
I continue to attack my current opponent, but if I win, I’ll go for a weapon on the floor, then continue attacking spawn.
Every fowlspawn attacks.
Against Antinor, the blow is blocked but Antinor’s shield breaks.
Against Santo, the blow is parried. Santo counter attacks and stabs the critter in the belly, delivering an S2 wound.
Against glee, the blow is swift and deadly, but glee manages to dodge it.
Against the spearman, the blow is a clean miss.
Against sword-and-dagger man, swords clash and no damaging blows are exchanged.
Your turn:
Antinor swings and hits the critter’s right arm. It falls.
Santo swings and hits his foe on the right shoulder. It penetrates the armor and the foe drops.
glee kicks his foe’s shield. Ever stump your toe in just the wrong way? The crunchy sound makes even the Gargun cringe. glee passes out.
An arrow seems to come out of nowhere. It hits glee’s foe in the stomach. This just pisses off the Gargun.
Spearman hits his foe. S2 shoulder hit. The Gargun is ready to swing back.
Dagger dude stabs and breaks his foe’s weapon.
