There’s a lot of CA-MRSA out there causing soft tissue infections these days, especially to injured/abraded skin; those infections usually respond quickly to incision and drainage, if there’s an abscess pocket, and/or trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole or tetracycline-type antibiotics.
