It is leander whom I would like to put in touch with the boys’ parents, who had/have both the deceased child and the deformed child. He would assess the situation fairly, and would have the means and talent to put chattle like Seven in their proper place. Me, I just don’t care about him. But I do care about people who have expressed encouragement.

On a more general note: who the hell cares what gets posted by someone here. Suppose someone posts a rant. In the rant, that person says all sorts of unfortunate, nasty things. What do you care? After all, you don’t have to respond to it. You can ignore it with impunity. You can even place the poster upon a list of people whos posts you never ever have to read again. If that person later posts a post that you decide you want to respond to because the content is worthy of a response, you can choose to do so if you want, or choose not to do so if you want. You don’t even have to explain yourself.
But no, what this thread (and others here in The Pit) establish is that some people cannot help but (or get enjoyment out of) antagonize someone else on the basis of disagreement with what they have posted here. Argue with them. Try to upset them back. Drag up past actions in an attempt to convince other posters to have a particular viewpoint about the person. Work to drive them away from posting if at all possible.

FWIW a helmet for a misshapen head is not such an unusual thing right now. Its called positional plagiocephaly. Some of us think the helmets are a bit overdone as most kids will round out with time and rolling, but a few kids really do benefit from them. On the list of tragedies this is no big thing - an annoyance maybe - at most.
