This is hardly the most offensive thing about that post, but it does remind me that one of the things that bugged me about Liberal is that every once in a while he’d adopt that sort of precious Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul tone when he wanted to make an Important Point.
His “screw you guys, I’m going to another message board” OP was some obnoxious cutesy parable, too.
And I generally liked his posts.
At the height of a period of great angst and commotion on the SDMB, numerous posters exit the board, some with more drama than others.
As is his wont,** Liberal**, choosing to exit, also chooses to make his exit dramatic.
Time passes.
Several posters on the three boards involved in the kerfluffle observe that the situation on the SDMB has undergone some changes, resulting in far less angst.
A few posters who had declared their intention to exit the SDMB for the spin-off boards edge back into the SDMB without making any great deal about it.
One of those posters happens to be Liberal who begins one and participates in two threads, posting with civility and without commotion or fanfare.
Some jerk decides to use a sock to call attention to Liberal’s presence on the SDMB, posting several explicit lies that portray **Liberal **as having posted insults that he never actually posted on the spin-off boards.
Pile on!

None of us could actually figure out what the fuck Frank was on about at the GB, but it seems like he’s still on it. I suppose that earns him points for irritable tenacity. Apparently being told he’s acting like a fucking douche on one board wasn’t really enough for him.

I know there was some back and forth about banned words in the pit but I thought some of that was resolved and the dope had returned to pre-banned word status. I mostly stopped coming here when Ed put the smackdown on language and, like the sociopathic, freak of nature, Liberal, I found another place to spend most of my online time.
But unlike sociopathic, one-foot-in-the-grave, Liberal I didn’t feel I needed to denounce this place as I figured I would still drop by from time to time.
You are correct to give, and I am honoured to have received, your warning as I did not properly read Ed’s sticky post about banned language in the pit. For this I hope you accept my humblest of apologies your moderatorness and I wish to offer you Liberal as a gift for this most grievous of mistakes. Please be sure he gets his nap and is bottle fed at least 4 times a day. And change his face diaper often as his medication gives him the verbal squirts.
While I accept and honour your warning, and retrospectively realize my mistake, I do wish it had included the SDMB patented “Do not do this again” ending. I do not anticipate a “next time” but if for some reason I slip out of habit of posting more on websites targeted towards adults (and do not ban language), could you please make a note to include it?
That said, I’m glad the sociopathic, overmedicated, Liberal has found his way back to your forum. He seems most suited here as the staff knows he is a sociopathic nut bag and for some reason prefer to coddle him with kid gloves. As sociopathic, drama queen, Liberal wondered to Domebo (DB) and Giraffeboards (GB) he found he was treated like the sociopathic, underwear poop smudge he is. It kind of made him grumpy.
First he renounced the dope, then moved to DB, got offended or something, renounced DB and moved to GB, got beat up, moved back to DB, got offended AGAIN, renounced DB and came back here. This really is the perfect place for him as you can conform your rules to suit him. The moderators here can happily put on their Mom Jeans and protect sociopathic, Liberal from the evils of the other members here. I’m not sure why, but for some reason you guys are into that. I guess fetishes come in all sizes and colours.
The dope is lucky to have him.
That said, I did give you a nice excuse for not restoring some of the bad-bad things said about sociopathic doody head Liberal.

He’s truly a tourtured sole. He wants for nothing but attention and drama, and we all give it to him in one form or another. I don’t know what’s worse. I guess we all look at the trainwreck.
Obviously I can’t ask you for a cite as the original OP has disappeared. However, on an admittedly quick read, I saw no lies in it. Certainly not explicit anyway.
Is there any way you can paraphrase and/or describe what those alleged lies were? And if you’re indeed unable to substantiate your statement, will you recant your accusation?
Needless sarcasm aside, what are you on about? Played? Played? Do you honestly think that Lib’s return to the board was going to go unnoticed, sock or no sock? Hell’s bells, surely Lib himself would disabuse you of such a naive notion.
