After having read several of Otto’s posts, I have arrived at two conclusions about him.
He hates religion, and thinks all people of faith are idiots
2)He’s one of those people who is generally looking to be offended, and will take the slightest disagreement or criticism as a deliberate personal insult.
I vote we take up a collection and buy Otto a sense of humor. And, if there’s any money left over, a sense of perspective.
Ah, hell, let’s just place him in the Total Perspective Vortex and have done with it.
The trouble with Sir Launcelot is by the time he comes riding up, you’ve already married King Arthur.
This is classic Otto behavior, his modus operandi. He needs the victim status he creates through this behavior for the purpose of winning the weak minded to his point of view. Sadly, many sheeple fall for it.
Oh boy, my very first thread with my name on it! Too bad it contains the single lamest attempt to undermine me, the “no sense of humor” accusation. I’ve heard that one before, usually after challenging someone telling fag jokes or making derogatory comments about women. My reply to the question, “don’t you have a sense of humor” is: yes, but your “jokes” aren’t funny; and no I don’t have a sense of humor about the degradation of entire classes of people.
As for the charge about my feelings toward religious types, it’s true I don’t have much use for them, but if they stay out of my way I’ll stay out of theirs. My comments on religion have largely been confined to Mormons and the pope, including by the way a comment defending Mormons against an attack on their status as Christians. So perhaps you should refrain from such blanket generalizations.
