The story is still brand new. It’ll be awhile before more is known. She’s facing serious prison time if she did set that house up for burglary and grand larceny.
She’s still on parole for the necklace theft last year. I see them finally making an example of her, given all the other stuff in the past four years.
She just finished her first movie in years. Then allegedly pulls this? I think it would be the final nail in her acting career. She could be facing several years in prison.
Why would she be in trouble if she didn’t take the stuff and the cops said she wasn’t a suspect?
They’d have to prove 1) The guys that came with her took the stuff, and 2) She was in on it.

Exactly. This is probably the most pleasant exchange Lindsay Lohan has had with the police in years.
The police said she wasn’t a suspect at that time. That doesn’t mean they cross her off the list. They’ll track down those two guys she brought with her. Get their story. Ask for a warrant to search their houses. There’s a lot of coincidence to swallow. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck.
I hope she is innocent for a change. I guess there’s a first for everything. 
There are a few hurdles to clear before we get close to the waterfowl stage.
TMZ is blocked here at work, so maybe this was answered in the article, but if the police showed up before anyone left, wouldn’t it be an easy task of searching the guests for the “missing” items? If they’re clean, they walk?
I should hope that even Lindsay Lohan would see the flaws inherent in “I’ll bring two randos to a party at an expensive place, let them steal stuff and then leave.”
Meh- I’m starting to think that Lindsay Lohan could kill the president’s daughter by ass-raping her with a crack pipe and nothing would happen to her. Nothing will come of this, except more publicity for her and some whining about why these things always somehow happen to her.
I don’t disagree with you, but she didn’t actually do anything in this case. Short of the thieves having a recording (or email records) of her admitting to a part in the heist.
Can somebody who can read the story tell me if anyone was arrested for the theft of the expensive watches and sunglasses? Or charged? Or who is the rich all night partier? Were there any hookers and blow? 'Cuz it ain’t a real scandal without hookers and blow.
Damn, they’ve got some interesting rights in Hollywood. No wonder there are so many cops.

If this was a planned robbery, they may have been in and out of the mansion all night, planting stolen goods in their cars, or in hiding places for later retrieval.

But even I know that if I’m going to have a party and there is even a smidgen of a chance a guest I don’t personally know may arrive…

I don’t see where she pulled anything and the story doesn’t even allege that. It seems much more likely to me that the two men just took advantage of her to get into the party and rob the place than to think she was in on it. Of course, there is apparently no evidence yet to show the two men were involved either.
I’m guessing that at worst she is guilty of bad judgement or being too plastered to realize the hangers-on are thieves. The alternative, that she actually has the forethought and patience to plan something like this, seems less likely.
Even if she was directly involved, the only way to prove it is if the people arrested for the crime then turn on her or if she simply confesses. Realistically, if it was the two men they could testify against her for a shorter sentence even if she actually wasn’t involved.
The OP has the cart several miles ahead of the horse here. At the moment, the facts show only that Lohan attended the party accompanied by other people, and that some property may have been stolen during the party. There is no proof that Lohan or her entourage were involved in any theft. She did the right thing by not talking to the cops. If there’s a case to be made against her, let them make it without her assistance.
Well, the good news is they already know her ankle bracelet size, so she wouldn’t have to go through that embarrassing fitting stage!
