Lindsay Lohan in trouble again. This time really serious.

A friend who had had some trouble with the law once told me, “the best way to avoid jail is to never do a crime with anyone else”.

Well-known trope. Benjamin Franklin said, “Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead.”

And even if Lindsay had nothing to do with it, what do you think the odds are that these two guys will tell the cops some lie that she was the mastermind so they can avoid jail?

I would think she has a big problem on her hands with this.

And yet, it hasn’t happened yet.

I think Lindsey’s just trying to make the downward spiral of the 2nd act in her biopic as interesting as she can without actually having to spend much time in jail. It’s all about the narrative arc, baby. Lohan is a freakin genius.

If I were a private person who came into money, say, winning a significant lottery, I would RIGHT NOW move to Los Angeles, and proceed to commit every crime that Lohan has been convicted of. Hire myself a good lawyer. And the moment I am given more of a sentence than Ms. Lohan I would scream to the hills, and possibly sue the city of Los Angeles citing preferential treatment.

Seeing her do all these things, and get slaps on the wrist and walking makes me sick.

This made me curious, so I checked Wikipedia:

Lohan was ordered to attend alcohol education classes, wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, and undergo random drug tests to remain free on bail. At a July 6 hearing, the judge determined that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation by missing several mandatory classes and meetings. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by 90 days of inpatient rehab treatment. …

On February 9, 2011, Lohan was charged with the theft of a necklace reported stolen from a jewelry store in January. She was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for misdemeanor theft and probation violation…

In November Lohan was found to have violated the terms of her probation by failing to perform the required community service. She was sentenced to 30 days of jail and 400 hours of community service…

Those don’t sound out of line to me. What do you think those are extra-light sentences?

What you’re probably thinking of is that she was released from prison early because of overcrowding in the California penal system. But that also applies to everyone who isn’t a violent offender. California appears to bend over backward to ensure that celebs aren’t given preferential treatment, exactly because of people like you.

Seeing how bad a Mom she has almost makes feel sorry for Lohan.
Almost.
Not sorry for her because 1 - Too angry at Lindsay for throwing away chances others would fight for and 2 - that train of thought would make me responsible for my own daughter’s failures.
