I believe it was taken on this building, looking East.
I have these as a slideshow.
Comin’ atcha: 747 just after liftoff, coming straight toward camera.
Occasionally I alternate with this one, a 747 at cruise with massive contrails behind it.
Like.
Those are obviously chemtrails.
Wow. Those wings are bendy. I assume (hope!) that was taken with a very long lens. The perspective compression almost makes it look like a vertical take-off.
Mine is a rotating display of 80 different Calvin and Hobbes jpgs.
thanks!
It’s a little-known fact that the wings of a 747 are made entirely from surgical-grade silicone rubber. Whereas on most commercial airliners you can observe just the fundamental frequency (the entire wing flexes up or down in unison), on 747’s you can actually make out the first harmonic (this is when the tip of a wing flexes in one direction and the middle part of that wing flexes in the other direction.
In fact, in this video of a 747 on a bumpy final approach, you can even see the engines wobbling around on their mounts.

At home I have a fancy fractal thing that is part of the Windows 7 displays.
I have a slideshow of classic art. My current wallpaper is Rembradt’s “The Old Mill.”
A Google server room. I believe this one is in Georgia.
Right now I have a picture I took the other day of a tree in my yard.
Pretty. Available in many different sizes here.
Here’s mine.
