From a previous thread here, this photo of a five year old girl peeling potatoes done in a “Dutch Master” style. Larger and without watermark, of course.
Mine here at work, it stretches across dual monitors.
Here’s mine - I have had it for years and rather like the effect.
Using this picture from Among the Sleep Kickstarter - I haven’t backed the game but loved that picture.
C-GVRA, the Avro Lancaster at the Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario.
This is mine, it’s a screenshot from the game Planetside 2.
On the laptop I’m typing this on, I have one of Microsoft’s stock images. But on my PC at work, I have this picture of Marco Scutaro celebrating in the rain.
Damn, that’s good work! I go to science fiction conventions and have been a fine art appraiser for 14 years, and this is finished, professional and you really ought to do something with a talent like this!

Yup. I’ve used this one for at least a decade on every computer whose desktop I’ve had control of until I eventually changed it to this, also an ocean picture, but slightly cooler because it’s real photograph of a shark closely tailing a guy in a kayak. My cell phone desktop picture is one of the stock photos that came with my phone of an ocean background with a big blue sky on top. I guess I like what I like.
I’ve been using this eclipse photo as my desktop for maybe four years now, but I’m usually a sucker for blue seas and skies.
Dual monitors to accommodate the cool desktop, or the cool desktop because there are dual monitors? Either works.![]()
I’m that dad, so I tend to have a picture of one or both of my kids. My current picture is kind of awesome, if I do say so myself.
I change mine a lot, but currently it’s this, altered to remove the ®, the star, and shorten the top vertical line on the “D” so it matches the “C”.
If you’re gonna make a desktop pattern, why not do it with some style?!
My goodness, thanks for the compliment!
I have quite a number of pieces but this one is set for my desktop resolution.
Maybe I should share them somewhere.
Just not on FaceBook. Urgh.
Thanks, Prof.
Hello Kitty is awesome.
Awesome - that was Game 7 of the 2012 NLCS when the Giants beat the Cardinals, 9-0. It was a long wait for Scutaro to eventually get his first World Series ring.
