FX has been running lots of promos. It looks good. Apparently it starts with the young woman – the one working for Glenn Close – after she’s been attacked, and works backward from there to show what happened.
The only drawback is Ted Danson. I can’t picture him as anyone but Sam.
I plan to check it out. I like Glenn Close most of the time, and I like the idea of Ted Danson playing a bad guy. Seems like it could be an interesting show – I hope it lives up to its previews.
I’m going to watch this. Rose Byrne is one of the most beautiful actresses working right now. I loved her in The Dead Girl. The cast looks excellent (can’t go wrong with Glenn Close), and the premise is interesting. One of us should start a thread after the premiere to discuss.
Zoggie, yes, several times. Today (7/26) at 6 p.m., and again on the 28th, 29th, and 30th.
I’ve only watched the first half so far. Was there an explanation for Ellen’s treatment by the police? I don’t understand why she was treated like a suspect in a crime, rather than a possible victim. She’s sitting in an interrogation room, still bloody and maybe in shock. Why?
She may be in shock, but she’s not physically injured. She’s covered in blood but not her blood. That speaks more to her being the perpetrator than the victim. And of course, as the episode ends her fiance is found dead in their apartment and the first words she speaks to the police, “Get me a lawyer.” are more “suspect” than “victim.”
In addition to all that, she didn’t give the cops her name, so that’s suspicious as well.
I just finished watching the episode. I agree that there weren’t a lot of surprises – particularly who killed the dog – but the show moves fast so predictability isn’t a problem for me.
OK…ever since I saw the promo-posters…with her bloody-hands gripping the briefcase…waaaaay before the series ever started…I was trying to figure that out.
I mean, she definitely looked shaken-up, but not really injured… :dubious:
