Well, she is strikingly made-up, dressed, and photographed.
Anybody would look “striking” done up like that, and, frankly, it makes it hard to tell whether or not she is still pretty. (Perhaps that is the idea.)

She always struck me as having ordinary good looks, not Hollywood good looks. She looks not unlike a very good looking girl in your typical high school, not a very good looking girl on your typical TV show set in a high school.
