Squirmy’s eating! Look at that little tail go!
Everything’s great! He’s a strong baby.
Why is mom all riled up? She won’t stand still long enough for Squirmy to nurse.
He’s really getting the hang of it. I’m not sure why Mama won’t settle, but he’s moving right along with her. I’d like to see him nursing more.

Ohh good good. Just me worrying then.
Hahaha, little runner.
Attendant’s back with a camera.
Ha! Squirmy tried to nurse on mom’s tail.
Almost latched…
Missed it.
Now he’s nursing her shoulder.
What a beautiful, strong baby! I missed the very first part of the birth but caught most of it.
I am thinking of Squirmy as a boy too… he’s a curious little cuss! He was licking the stall wall just now and charged right up to the person that came in.
I think I’m in love…
He keeps getting so close and then JUUUUUUUUUUUUUST not quite getting it.
Ha! Almost there and mom tried to push him closer.
I think he’s too tall and unstable to get under there properly.
It’s a boy!
I can’t stop watching until I know he’s gotten a proper meal…
Me too! I want the attendant to come in and hold mom still so Squirmy can get a proper hold on her teat.
EAT: Speaking of qwhich, the attendant just entered the stall. Ha! And grabbed Virona’s halter, then let ehr go.
Virona seems really hyped up about this baby.
He’s really having trouble find the udder. He’s not too tall, he’s just clueless. I wonder if she keeps moving to give him another position.
ETA: Virona obviously thinks she needs hands.

Or maybe she’s tired of the afterbirth hanging out of her hooha.
That lady is like a horse whisperer.
Oooh, we’re having an intervention…
Two now; one to hold Virona, the other to help Squirmy.
Thank goodness these people are sensible pros!
I think Verona needs to CHILL. I am not liking the temperament of this mare. The 2 handlers are in the stall right now holding her so little Squirmny can nurse.
BAD mama horse… BAD! BAD!
And it doesn’t help that Squirmy is a bit of a mimbo.
