Just peeked into Chantilly’s stall, the foal is nowhere to be seen. I am sure hoping that doesn’t mean what I think it means…
I can see him, he’s there! Right now there is also a person sleeping in the stall, right next to the little guy.
New page, cam list one:
Pacific Pintos – all four cams working now.
Jadzia on cam 1 at Elements Arabians – here’s a link to their foal watch page and on cam 2 is Misti.
Centaur Farms – Double Freeze and Greetings; feed still sucks.
It’s the Mandy and Barry show!
Cam 1 at Silver Creek
Cam 2, currently CeCe, at Silver Creek
Maple Creek Arabians– what a drama over latch on it was.
New page, cam list two:
Here’s Sunny Pines Breeding Service – another four-in-one cam.
Stony Ford switches between two – one crappy, one not so bad.
And it’s Pagan at Owens Foaled last night.
McGuire Ranch has two mares on cam.
Glenhill Farm cam 1 be alert, it’s got sound! Can be LOUD sound. But a very good cam feed. There’s a slider bar for the sound – hit it ASAP. Their cam 2 doesn’t work for me, but cam 3 does and it appears not to have sound.
Four-in-one view at Big Sky! Currently two foals, two still to foal.
Belladonna is switching between two stalls – one pretty good feed, one okay – better than Centaur, anyway.
New page, cam list 3:
Here’s Happy Appy Acres with a mare at 340 days and supposedly ready to go.
Hill Haven has a pretty good feed.
Iris Hills is switching between two stalls, one with foal, one with mare yet to pop.
And the wee precious premie
It figures I missed Pagan. Another couple hours and I would’ve seen her. Wee One is still alive. I think an NG tube would be better than trying to fight him to nurse, if he doesn’t have the suckle reflex yet.
StG
Not much happening, although Hill Haven may be close (tweet: “sassy is on cam now…VERY uncomfy tonight…lots of pacing!” 5 hours ago) – tail’s wrapped. Happy Acres has its mare outside for the day and switches between two cam feeds complete with wandering chickens. The woman who spent all last night in with the premie is still there, still doing things. Foal’s out of sight at bottom of cam, with Chantilly supervising.
I had to fight my sleep reflex like mad for the last half hour of Pagan’s drama! And she was certainly dramatic about the leadup to the birth. She’s very calm now, standing guard over her sleeping filly – call it Epona?
I assume the Mulligans Run folks have been working with their vet and getting good advice. Given they’ve already lost one foal this spring, they must be frantic to save this one. Ah – the woman’s on the phone right now.
Ah! The Owens family is introducing their two small children to the filly. Carefully. Filly can’t seem to get to her feet, but it looks like that’s because her hooves keep slipping. Ah! Up now and busy checking out the humans. Now getting a meal and the humans quietly leave.
Oh YAY!! So gladd he’s still hanging in there! Dunno why I couldn’t see him earlier.
OMG! They’ve got Premie up on his feet! With hands helping, but still! And they’ve taken his wee blanket off.
For the first time I’m thinking maybe he has a chance after all.
ETA: Well, down again. But he definitely looks stronger than last night.
Looks like they’ve splinted Premie’s front legs again. And he’s getting another feeding whether he likes it or not. He definitely has more strength in his neck now.
Over at Elements, where the two mares have free in and out of the barn to the limited area outside, Misti just put herself back in her stall.
Not much else happening.
Premie isn’t visible now, but I’m pretty sure he’s at the bottom of the stall just out of sight; now and then I’ve seen little bits of something poke up into view and move for a bit. And the towels are still there; if he’d died and been removed surely they’d take out the towels too?
Yes! Just saw his wee muzzle poke into view for a moment.

While I’m here, Pacific Pintos is still foalless. Emailing with Joanne last night, it was clear she’s about at the hair-tearing-out stage.
PapSett - Did you call the stable?
StG
I’ll go you one better StG… I just got home from VISITING the stable!
The owner/instructor wasn’t there, but her teenage daughter told me to come on out, she’d show me around and answer my questions. In a word- it’s WONDERFUL. Nice stalls, loads of pasture & paddoccks, a round pen, indoor arena and 125 acres of wooded trails. It’s about 20 minutes from me. The horses are happy and friendly, obviously well cared for. Lessons are $20/half hour, $35/hr. Monthly boarding is $275, including stall, feed twice a day, pasture turn out and stall cleaning.
I am going to call tomorrow about starting lessons. The daughter also said her mom ofteen finds good riding horses for people, so when I am ready, she would be there to help me.
They have Paints and Quarter Horses. Absolutely nothing was said about me being ‘too big’ to ride… always a huge fear for me.
It felt like home.
I think I am going really enjoy opening my soul back up to horses…
WOOT!!! That is fabulous!
And $275 full board? Good grief. I pay $150/month per horse for rough board here in eastern Massachusetts.
Just looked in a Mulligans Run; the mare’s being milked. Now the woman who milked her has checked the foal (out of sight at the bottom of the stall), then left with the milk in a cup.
Ah. Now she’s back, with the tiny blanket, and doing something (feeding?) out of sight with the baby. Out and in again; looks like she tried the bottle and is now going to use a syringe, to judge by what I can see in her hand.
ETA: Both women in there now working on Premie.
The young woman in with Premie is crying. He’s barely moving any more. I can’t watch this any longer.
ETA: Crap. I went back to shut off that tab, just as the screen went to blank with the word “LOSS” flashing. Probably just means the feed’s been lost, but…
Just tried to access the Premie and the camera is evidently turned off and blinking ‘loss’ on the screen. Not liking this…
Emailing with Joanne of Pacific Pintos; told her of what’s been going on at Mulligan’s Run. Just got this in from her:
