Sorry, just wanted to chime in with a bit of advice: Don’t post whilst intoxicated. You will only post something incredibly silly and/or embarissing, and regret it in the morning. I have learned this lesson. I wish to spread this wisdom to others. That is all.

This weekend has made me really want to spend it wasted out of my mind – but cost is a wonderful wowser influence. 
I’ve posted drunk myself on a couple of occasions. While I don’t believe I’ve done anything with that influence that I’m ashamed of on the boards, it definitely makes me ultra careful what I post at the time.
That aside – unless anyone knows a poster is tanked while in control of a keyboard, I’m not sure it’s fair to say that that’s the reason for their behaviour.

Lola’s info though is relevant – she’s just been more observant than I have been (mind you, it would be a bit of a worry if I trailed after you across the boards, noting your every comment, nuance and all th’ etceteras, now wouldn’t it? :))

You can pretty much expect to be mis-understood if you post items that are “partly an act”.
Remember, other posters can’t see your facial expressions or body language. We can’t see “partly an act”. All we can see is what you write.
If you don’t like being mis-understood, then write exactly what you mean.
So I am an arsepick (whatever that is) Is there something specific that I did?
And is there any hope of a reconciliation?

kambuckta - no, really. Lola has posted a lot of things in past posts about me. calling me various things each time. (not that I will hold a grudge) I am trying to build bridges here. Give me a chance. I may be a jerk, but I don’t want to be one.
Got a question for you then, Lobsang – what are you going to do, from here on, to not be perceived as a jerk if you can possibly help it?
Granted, if you are on the level here, with us (but more importantly, with yourself) – you’ve got a lot of shit to shovel from folks’ past impressions of you. That’s rough, mate. Bein’ damned if you do and damned if you don’t is a fucker of a situation to be in.
If drinking is what affects the way you communicate here – try not drinking while you’re online. You can accuse me of bein’ a preacher-teacher here, especially since I’ve admitted seeking the dual solaces of this addictive place plus booze on occasion. But if that is one of the factors, seriously consider removing it from the equation. At least, while you’re here.

Oh, and Lobsang? I take back my acceptance of your apology in the other thread. You have some serious issues mate, and I’m not convinced booze is the culprit. You might think it’s good fun to play with people on a messageboard, but you haven’t grasped the fact that we here are MORE than that. This is a community of people. We are not just typeface on a screen, we are real people enjoying the communion we experience with other human beings. We laugh and cry with each other. We get angry and sometimes hate with a vengeance the person who posted something that got our hackles up. We argue and we commisserate and we poke fun and we call names. It’s all part of being a member of a community…a community of which I am proud to be a member.
But when you come along and shit in threads, and tell us that what you posted might or might not have been bullshit, and how we should all feel sorry for having called you names, but on second thoughts you don’t really care, and how it is sooooo unfair that we don’t understand you, well, enough is enough mate. Many people have given you the benefit of the doubt on too many occasions. You had me going for a while last night, and I lost sleep wondering whether I had really been obnoxious and how come I hadn’t picked up my own indiscretions…(normally I am vaguely aware when I offend somebody…with one notable exception STOP LARFING ICEY!!) But I was at a loss last night, and although I felt somewhat relieved later this morning, your posts this afternoon (our time) have reversed my confidence. Go get a life, go get some therapy, go find some friends because I am damned sure I’m not going to let you interrupt my relationship with this board ever again.
