I know someone who suffers from OCD and it’s not amusing. She lost the ability to work and it had gotten really bad before it’s sort of gotten better.
I’m still waiting to see what answer our funny friend has for calling people with a diagnosed mental aliment “crazy.” I’m also getting increasingly pissed off about this. People used to poke fun of all sorts of deceases and it was fashionable to laugh at those different, but I thought we were getting better than that.
There was a kid in my elementary school who had some sort of development problems and the other kids used to tease him, know him down and call him “retarded”. One of the leaders in the bullying was the class clown and I thought he was a jerk for that.
Start a Pit thread against a poster you don’t like hoping to start a pile on. Especially if you think the poster is against one of the sacred “Don’t mention bad things about THAT SUBJECT on THIS board, by Golly!” causes.
Expect everybody to come in and agree, then start the pile on for you.

She may be being mean, but not pointlessly. The point is, there’s a huge ration of self-pity, “woe is me, I’m sick, you can’t criticize me” coming from DocCathode, which I’ve also seen from Guin, actually. They want to whine about their ailments, which maybe be very real and painful, but no one else can say shit about it. Not even to help, as some have tried to in this thread, only to be shot down rather condescendingly. You just have to offer sympathetic pseudo-support or shut up, lest you be pitted. It’s kind of annoying.
LM is new to the board, so she doesn’t know what the sacred cows are. They do make the tastiest hamburgers, I have to say.
