Long Road Trips in the MMP

I apologize for the terrible audio, but this is the only clip I could find, but anyway, this is where chi-hooah-hooah comes from.

No you didn’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Howdy Y’all! We have supped and all is well on a chilly eve in south Jawja. I’ve been readin’ CDI stuff. EYP warned me I’d probably think at least half of it is stoopid. He is a wise young man. Roughly half of what I have read so far is stoopid. Then again, I should have suspected that when the Myers Briggs assessment bs started up.

**Bumba **- exactly what I thought of.

Supper was meatloaf, cabbage, and boiled N.O.T. lumps. The dishwasher is washing, and I’m about to assume the afghaning position. RoxStar is still a snot machine, but she seems to be feeling better and normal temp, so that’s good.

And now the day winds down…

I will respect the policies of this board by not discussing how I choose to watch movies and TV series.

Evening all. Nappage has been completed so I’ll probably be up late tonight. Still need to launder my towels, will get to it…sometime. The 5 Guys meal is sitting well, so dinner will be late tonight.

flytrap, there’s nothing that lets you track freight trains like this does for aircraft (Flightradar24: Live Flight Tracker - Real-Time Flight Tracker Map), but Amtrak does have a ‘road map’ for their trains: https://www.amtrak.com/track-your-train.html Freight trains don’t operate to a standard schedule so I guess they’re hard to track.

Sleepy (see Little Nemo here: Little Nemo - Wikipedia, 4 terabytes…it is astounding how much computing power there is out there.

Sari, better safe than sorry on ice. Hope the prescription works.

Spidey, when I run out of snark, I turn toward Good Will To All, of which I have a fairly good supply. Unless I decide to comment in The Pit, in which case I reach on the shelf to my old reliable Grumpy Old Man.

Alright, I am going to get up now and do the laundry…

Mooooom, I’m glad RoxStar and teh family are feeling better.

sari, Ripple is spoiled. Nelson has to show up to the kitchen when I’m packing my lunch to get his baby carrot. :stuck_out_tongue:

ruble, one of the drivers who delivered parts from our Bradley, PA plant to ours in Nappannee, IN. I went through there going out to the other plant once.

We had a surprise work wedding reception for one of the managers in my department this afternoon. Last Wednesday, she and the man with whom she has been in a relationship for 11 years went to the courthouse and made it legal. We combined with her former department, invited her husband and had cake, nuts and punch.

The pair of jeans that I began hemming last evening between laundry loads isn’t nearly as long as the first pair that I hemmed. The first pair was 3.5" too long while these were 1" long. Funny thing, they are the same size, same style and all, just different colors. Still on the home front, my new steam mop came in this afternoon. I liked the way the old one filled better, but this one worked well after a test drive. Off to finish hemming and put the cards together for old ladies, sympathies, etc.

yay I have all the paperwork fixed I needed to fix… of course it started to rain before I left …… and I wear sandals ……

Glad to see you didn’t run out of snark. :dubious:

Were you hawing too, or just hemming. Do you hee when you haw?

It’s a rainy day today. My wife takes the car so I’m stuck with a scooter in the rain. It rains hard enough that I wear: rain pants and a rain coat and then another rain coat over that.

At least I mostly stay dry.

We actually head out that way a lot. I love their Harley shop (Hale’s) and got a t-shirt there that I save for weddings, funerals and other equally special events. The back shows their shop from the nearby jail and says “room with a view” like this:
https://process.fs.grailed.com/AJdAgnqCST4iPtnUxiGtTz/cache=expiry:max/rotate=deg:exif/resize=height:700,fit:scale/output=format:jpg,quality:70/compress/P09TCt1rQ6C4SlTF7l1N

The front? A more standard Harley design that says “Ride it like you stole it”

We also shop at Lehman’s in Dalton and visit a lot of other places around Holmes County.

It’s Spanish for “secret ingredient”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ands the Canes losing streak at MSG goes for 8 years.:smack:
Closing shift tomorrow.

Good ‘Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear (dark, actually), with a predicted high of 60 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall betake myself to the Pubic Sto’ and the Harvey’s Sto’ to procure provisions. Harvey’s has Coke products on sale so I shall hit there first. I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for grilled salmon so I shall purchase a couple of salmon steaks at the Pubic Sto’ for tonight’s sup. Side matter TBD. Mayhaps I shall be inspired whilst shoppin’. Also I shall read more CDI stuff. When I get to the trainin’ on Firday and Sattidy I shall either be lauded for my contributions to discussions or thrown out I think. On the other hand, as I read further, the material is becomin’ a lot less stooped, so there’s that.

Glad RoxStar is feelin’ better MOOOOOOM.

Sari how much fun is it to get Adam Cat to take his meds?

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, I must purtify and don appropriate goin’ about the public attire. Life is so hard!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

This stoopit gummint shutdown is affecting FCD’s business. He was supposed to be neck-deep in an analysis project (structural, not psychological) and it’s been put off for at least a month. Dammit. Just when I cut back my hours (and, ergo, income) My hatred for the Grand High Cheeto has expanded beyond what I thought was possible.

Other than that, life is good. The parking lot was mostly dry this morning - I saw evidence of salt spread about. Higgs will be going to the groomer this afternoon, and I have to pick her up on my way home. I’ll have time to swing thru WalMart for a couple of things, so the detour will be well-used.

Onward! Happy Wednesday!!

I haz tiny chillblain. Where is a :cry mightily: smiley when you need one…

I want mine in Neptunebyte size.

Happy Hump Day!

I didn’t want to wake up this morning, I am so tired.

I got Ripple off to daycare, later than usual. I waited for the sun to come up. I’m glad I did, the walk was a bit icy, and my door was frozen shut.

We’re going to go get groceries today. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, and Moonday’s high is predicted to be 16. We don’t need anything, yet, but I’ll feel better if we stock up a little.

No problems with Adam’s pill Swampy, we have TUNA! I wasn’t sure if Adam likes tuna, but he does. He likes it a lot! He wants more, and more, and more. He’s not getting more though, just enough to give him his pill.
He looks a little bit spacey today.
His pills did come with a warning not to drive or operate heavy machinery. However, since he just now caught a mouse, the pills seem to have no effect on his hunting abilities. Damn cat though, he let it go and it ran under the dishwasher.

Damn!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Clsoing shift today. I was awaked at 0600 by Alex Catt crying, because there was only a little food in her bowl. Pig.

My Valentine’s stuff is tied up in Customs. I supped I’ll be selling mega packs of Charmin for 2/14.:smack:

Nava, as long as you’re not putting your data in Uranus.

As of today, Romeo and I have been married 9 years. Sometimes it feels like it’s only been a couple; sometimes it feels like it’s been waayy longer. Such is the nature of marriage, I guess. We went out over the weekend for a date night, so tonight we’re just taking the kids to Buffalo Wild Wings and Cold Stone for dessert. Nothing too fancy, but this way neither of us has to cook.

Next week, Romeo goes back to working dinner shifts because classes are back in session. I’ll miss having him home in the evenings to help wrangle … er … care for the kiddos.
