I don’t see her questioning my capacity. She worries and I can’t control that, nor can I really ignore it, without being the jackhole of the OP. I need to learn to live within it and play along to a certain extent. She has said she’s totally ok with me exploring domestically, the foreign country was the deal breaker. So as long as she plays along with the rules set down,I do end up with the majority of what I requested. Not a horrible outcome

You could always go at the same time, but pretend to be strangers. Book different rooms and do your own thing. You might find it spices things up. Rules include no spying or stalking and no asking for help with little things.
