Looking for some poetry

The time is quickly approaching where I put a memorium in our local paper in memory of my parents. I used a really beautiful poem last year and want to have something different this year. There was a website that had a lot and I cant find it now.

Does anybody have any in remembrance poems up their sleeves? Nothing really mushy, just something nice that describes two wonderful people who arent with us anymore.

We are, each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another

A Living Monument

A mother’s love, her children cannot measure,
So numerous the deeds that she has done:
Each little act of kindness we should treasure,
And carry on the work she has begun.

Each child, she sought to guide, to train, to teach,
With great concern for all beneath her roof:
The very best in lifeshe wished for each;
Her sacrificial life was living proof.

How can we honor one who gave us birth?
Whose love and faith transcend the common sphere?
There is no greater one upon this earth
Whose memory her children should revere.

We may erect a monument of stone,
But better, to live up to her ideals:
A pattern for our lives that she has shown-
This living monument, our love reveals.
Hope this helps you, I miss my parents too.

Don’t make me come down there.

I have a few I’ll send you if you like, including one I wrote for the passing of my fiance’s grandmother. You may enjoy them…let me know if you’d like me to send them. Actually, e-mail me if you’d like them, I’m not on the board much anymore.

I like this poetry site Sue.

I really try to be good but it just isn’t in my nature!
