Looking forward to holiday movies??

Wow- what a great bunch of movies coming out over the holidays! What are some of the ones you are looking most forward to? Is anyone else psyched for Narnia?? That’s my big one. Sound off!

Kong

Of course I am looking forward to TLTWTW  .

It’s ape and Adolf for me- King Kong and The Producers.

So no Narnia? Check out this site- I hate fantasy-type flicks, but after I saw this I decided I would have to.

Also, I want to see Walk the Line. I hear Reese is show-stopping. Anyone seen that either?

Munich. Saw the trailer and I can’t wait.

Not particularly jolly, but there you are…

Walk the Line was terrific! Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were both wonderful, and they knocked my socks off with their singing. It was the first time I’ve liked Reese in anything, and I actually loved her – she was sweet, spunky, perky, cute, and also much prettier as a brunette, IMO. I think the people involved with this movie definitely deserve some Oscars, and I only wish Johnny and June could have lived to see it.

As for me, I’m also looking forward to The Producers and King Kong. I don’t have any warm fluffy childhood memories of Narnia, so it doesn’t seem like a “must-see” movie for me. I may catch it when it hits the 75-cent theater. Munich is another one that will no doubt be a good movie, but not something I’ll rush out to see.

I’m with you. That one looks awesome.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardobe is the one I’m waiting for the most. I grew up with the books and my son has enjoyed having me read them to him before bed. We can’t wait.

Several of them, but particularly Syriana, The Producers, The New World and Lion/Witch/Wardrobe.

I’m up for Syriana, The Producers, Memoirs of a Geisha, Casanova, and Brokeback Mountain.

I’m crossing all my fingers in hope that Chronicles of Narina won’t suck.

At first I didn’t even realize that “Chronicles of Narnia” was “Lion/Witch/Wardrobe”…then when I saw the trailer I was so excited - I had forgettten all about how much I loved it.

I really don’t think it will disappoint - at least not after all of the things I have been seeing on it. This thanksgiving they were pre-selling tickets to it at our local movie theatre. My cousins stood in a half hour line for them, and it doesn’t even open until the 9th!!!

(By the way…a little off topic but does anyone remember the old LWW movie from years and years ago???)

Okay, sorry to double post - but I just got a chance to see the movie in a pre-screening and it was in one word “incredible”!!!

Has anyone else seen it yet? I wanna talk about it! If anyone has questions…ask away - it might be my new obsession.
