Looks like I may be adopting this little furry bundle of squee.

Good on ya for choosing a rescue puppy.

Well, she is home. And she does live up tp the hype in the cuteness factor. I mean it’s just ridiculous. She is like a caricature of cute. Multiple grown men have turned into squealing little girls with pigtails at the sight of her.

She was in Jacksom MS, I’m in Atlanta GA, so yesterday was 13 hours on the road there and back. Yeah, I was a little tired. But, this was also her first night ever away from her siblings, and in a strange place to boot. So sleep last night was in max 90 minute blocks in between trips outside and just general puppy whining.

But she survived, I survived, it will be good. Now the fun of housebreaking begins.

WHERE ARE THE PICTURES???

So glad you got her and you had a safe drive, leftfield6!

Hella cute! Good for you both that she is a rescue.

Only a couple of quick iPhone pics so far. Here’s two of her in the passenger seat on the way home.

About half way home she insisted on riding on my right leg. Not something I would normally be okay with, I never let dogs ride in my lap or anything like that, I know it’s unsafe in many ways. BUT, she was, I think< really suffering some separation anxiety, being away for her sisters fo rthe first time, so I let her get away with it.

Oh my gosh! What a cutie! Thanks for the pics.

Puppy naming advice: Never give a dog a name with a long ‘o’ in it, since to a dog that sounds like, “No”. Nora, Noble, Nosey, and Bono are right out.

I’m in favor of: Skippy, Tipper, Cresta, and Lady.

Oh come on, what a preposterous level of cute that little girl has! Is her fur as soft as it looks in the pix?

Watch out for names that sound like commands – “Dawn”=down
Go yell the name out the back door two, three times, see if it sounds ok

Are you sure she isn’t a black bear cub?

StG

Could be. She is teething right now, and she loves to try to nip your finger. She has some sharp little teeth in there. Maybe she is a bear.

When she nips,YIP! as loud as you can and stomp off… Like another puppy would. No playing with her… You might need to resort to a muzzle grab/shake… Nipping is serious in my book.

Does she have a name yet?

Her name is Molly. And she is still a level of adorable that had to come from Satan.

And now she has mastered stairs. So she can spread her evil on multiple levels of my abode.

D’aaaawwww.

I may have missed it, what with being blinded by the cuteness. What breed/breeds is Mollyboo? Do you know?

Don’t really know. I strongly suspect some chow in her ( the breed, not the food ) but I really have no idea. I am also open to her being a bear. I really have no idea.

So, since most people don’t come back to update their “I got a pup” threads, I’m going to. Also just so I can show off my doggie!

So she is right at 16 weeks or so now, maybe a little bit more. She is 17 pounds and growing. She has had all of her puppy shots, and has been deemed perfectly healthy! She is mostly housebroken now, although she still really likes to poop in this one place on the wood floor. I never seem to catch her doing it, but I’m convinced that she celebrates with a puppy touchdown dance.

I did the cheek swab thing a week ago, and paid my $99, so I should have a DNA analysis of what breeds she has in her within the next week or two. Trying to get a handle on how big she is going to be.

So here are some pics. This one was at about 8 weeks. As you can see her ears are outpacing her head. Eventually her head will catch up.

This is a week or so ago, with her taking a nap. Yes, she is actually asleep in this position. She does it all the time.

And here she is in all her fetching glory. She has been a star at fetching since the first time I threw a ball. She has some “retriever” in her for sure, since she seemed to instinctively know that she was supposed to go pick up that thing and bring it back to me.

I’ll update again sometime. :stuck_out_tongue:

Who’s a good dog???

Thanks for the update and be sure to let us know what her breed is. And if she’s ever going to grow into those ears!

Just FYI you might try putting one of those enzyme things on the floor where she poops so she won’t smell her prior accidents. They work well for cats anyhow.

Bwhaaahaa! Oh man, it’s like a dirty bomb of cute just exploded in my office.
