Something else that bothered me from last night’s show. I certainly can’t be the only one wondering who exactly is in Jack and AnaL’s army. He didn’t ask Sayid, or Locke. It doesn’t appear that Jin is involved. I’d think those three would be the first he would approach.

I was under the impression that the whole army idea never really got off the ground. You mentioned the three most likely cantidates (Kate & Eko being up there as well) and without any of those folks, well, you got a pretty lame army. Unless the “army” is really just a posse so that Jack can assert his will on the Lost-aways…shakes fist at Jack

I’m beginning to think that before too long Jack is going to start rolling steel balls in his fingers and counting the strawberries in the hatch pantry. Sayid and ocke are going to be the ones in control before Jack finally snaps.

I started thinking that maybe this guy was intended to be captured and brought to the hatch. The Others likely know that our Losties are in the hatch now. Maybe they want to see what’s going on in there, now that Desmond is gone. Are the Losties pushing the button? If not, did whatever was supposed to happen, really happen? I thought maybe the sinister look on the prisoner’s face was because he saw that the clock had been reset to 108. Could he see it from where he was after Locke opened the door?

No, I don’t think he could have seen the counter, but he surely noted that the claxon shut off, so if he was aware of the button, he knows it was reset.

Now I’m wondering if the “incident” that was referenced in the film is something that occurred to the Others, turning them into what they are. And that they are interested in whether the same will happen to the castaways as well.

-Sawyer/Hurley plot was the plot-b…iest subplot ever. They could’ve at least stumbled on some whispering or something.

I loved it. It was a perfect “whimsical” contrast to a torture plotline.

Non-metallic minerals is what I heard. Talc, quartz, calcite…wow, how about that, first hit from Google is very helpful.

Not sure what the significance of that in the big picture is…odd choice for it to be nothing…maybe Dharma was involved in the asbestos removal business…the button merely is keeping a lid on an asbestos landfill.

Sorry for the off the cuff descriptions, I had about 1.2 seconds to pause before my roommate was screaming at me to press play.

Baraqiyal’s link exactly matched the images shown, and it makes sense in context. It really doesn’t reveal that much anyways. Desmond could have told us that letting the timer run out was “cause to die”. Speaking of which, is anyone else wondering what he’s up to, where he is, what else he knows?

The bird looked like a hieroglyphic hawk to me. The other one could be a hieroglypic feather. Not sure what the significance is though.

They sure looked like Egyptian hierogliphics to me, but I haven’t done an HD freeze-frame yet. I figure one the folks over at tailsection.com will have it all figure out this AM.

Great, great episode. I don’t believe Balloon-Man for a second. He did look awfully smug at the end.

Who was the girl in the photo? I thought it looked like Kate. And I’m sure there will be ramifications for killing Kermit.
