LOST 6.16 "What They Died For"

Sure, because he disappeared into the woods with Miles to get some grenades…and he hasn’t been back since. I’m expecting a Charge of the Light brigade here. But with grenades. I just hope Miles makes it.

I was hoping my lack of street cred as a *Lost *newbie would be overlooked.

Guess I better keep my day job.

If he doesn’t the ethnic cleansing of the Island will be complete.

I guess Desmond is trying to get them all in one location in the ATL.

Me to MrWhatsit: You know what would be funny right now? If the smoke monster came and ate Richard and Ben.

Five seconds later: The smoke monster ate Richard.

Did Richard die for sure then?

Unknown, actually. I was just rather taken aback that my joke turned accurate so quickly.

I’m glad that Ben has become a bad guy again. It’s about damn time.

My head is spinning. ANSWERS!

That was rather sudden…

“You must protect the mysterious light in the middle of the island.”

“I’ll do it.”

Anybody going to ask why the light needs to be protected?

Sort of. Yeah, I’m glad they showed Jacob explaining some things to them without pushing it to the finale.

So, can Jack teleport and change form? Can he move off island, like Jacob could?

If Ben could kill Widmore, why didn’t he do it before when they were off the island?

One reason is he certainly wanted Widmore to have to experience losing his daughter.

Any theories as to what Desmond is planning to do in the alternate timeline?

Also, it seemed like Hurley had a lot of his island memory back on the alternate timeline.

Maybe the longer the ATL characters have been “awakened” the more they remember?

Really, at this point, I’m just along for the final ride. We’ll all get to see the hand they’ve been playing come Sunday.

I think Des will have them all meet up at that museum and there will be Mrs. Hawking (Widmore?) to take them back to fix things.

Can anyone find a transcript of the conversation Ben and Charles had that night in Whidmore’s bedroom? I have consistently been unable to locate any information from previous episodes.

Maybe Desmond, in his role as fail-safe and option of last resort, is planning to bring the ATL candidates over to the island story timeline in case the candidates there all get killed. (??)

Are we supposed to know exactly why Desmond is a “fail-safe”?

It’s the last scene.
