Yestidy was the only one of 10 days so far this month that we haven’t had any precipitation falling from the sky.
I’m starvink; soup is nukelating.
Rosie’s sig around.

…& the soup is now gone!
Now that I’m only famished I can start to make some dinner.
It costs me $100 a month. It is $1,000 a month. The pharmacy has to eat $900 until the insurance company reluctantly ponys up.
There is a guy at the insurance company whose only job is trying to find a reason to kick me off.
So far, he has been unsuccessful.
I worked, I came home. I’m watching Gordie play with Foodball.
Nah, it takes stamen-a to come up with flower puns.
If I was you, I’d wake up screaming, too.
[Soup Nazi]No(more) soup for you![/Soup Nazi]
Hope FCM gets some relief soon, Moooommmm!.
Glad [Mr. Butters** is in the hospital and clotless, Butters. And yay beer!
Airman’s on Humira for psoriasis. It’s crazy expensive, but we have really awesome insurance, so we pay $27 for a 90-day supply.
So I’m in the second week of the new gig, speaking of which. (It’s my insurance. I just let Airman use it.) We had our first quiz yesterday and I got a 92, which is a lot better than I thought I did. A lot of this material was just definitions and rules and regs that cover onset and so forth, but it’s still important. The rest of it should be pretty easy, since I took a lot of anatomy and physiology in college.
The house thing is proceeding apace. We signed up for secured credit cards last night so we can get that little annoyance sorted out. We have the inspection on Firday afternoon, so the major benchmarks are out of the way and all that remains after that is for the mortgage company to do its thing so we can close.
If I knew how hard and scary adulting actually is, I’d still live with my parents.
My parents moved out of state when I was 18 to avoid that.
I’m rooting for a good plant pun here.
They packed the van & drove off while you were in school & you came home to an empty house, right? :o
Piker! The wife was on Lovenox, an injectable anticoagulant, that retailed for 30K for 90 days. And I got to stab her every night. How many other husbands get to stab their wives every night?
Now it is a little dark red pill that goes for $50 a day.
Remember, they only find the bodies in shallow graves…
Pretty close.
Pro tip: build the shed with the concrete pad on the opposite side from the grave. It confuses the forensics team
Youse are sick I say but what do I know? My dip in the whirlpool was a breath of fresh air. Reminded me of Baby’s Breath. The night air smells of Roses and I am fresh as a Daisy.
These plant puns are making me green with envy…
Rat is still missing… sigh
Up, caffeinated and sheveled. Short day today, followed by a trip to the laundromat.
{{{hugs}}}
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified so no YAWN. ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 89 for the day and sunny. We are goin’ for brekkie at that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner, hence the already all ready to go.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I’m operating on about 4 hours of sleep. Poor **FCD **got up shortly after I posted, and shortly after that, we were enroute to the ER. He was afraid something had gone wrong with one of his back surgeries - like a screw breaking or something - because he was in such agony. After much waiting and stuff, they did X-rays and gave him a shot that started to ease the pain. No bad stuff on the X-rays, beyond what we already knew. So they sent him home with prescription for pain meds, plus one to go, since it was 10:30 and all the pharmacies were closed. I crawled into bed just before 11, and I heard him futzing in the kitchen, so he was feeling better enough to nuke some leftovers.
I woke around midnight - I think it was when he was going to bed in the guest room. Then Higgs started barking around 4:30, so I’m operating on not much sleep. I emailed his boss and I’m hoping he’ll call when he gets up. But it’s gonna be a long, challenging day. I’m pretty sure there’s not enough caffeine.
Yeah, yeah, Happy Wednesday. ugh.
Today is my Freeday, nyah nyah. The official Friday is a local holiday and I’m taking tomorrow off. Going to visit the relatives.
I’ve just finished chugging through the two current subjects in the masters I’m taking online. I’m feeling all trained and kind of brain-bloated. In some ways, the subjects I’ve seen before are the hardest, because for example for “risk assessment” my brain automatically tries to look at it from a labor safety PoV.
Usually I sleep through storms, but when there is a series of three thunderclaps within a 30 second span so close to the VunderLair that the windows threaten to break, diving for cover becomes a consideration.
Oh well, at least I got some prime shuteye between the storms last night, unlike the sleepless night before.
Damn Mom sorry to read this. Pain has a terrible way of getting to you. I’ve been dealing with various amounts of pain for a long time too; patches and Percs for a smashed foot and numerous kidney stones.
You can be doing everything right but then one day it derails and you are sure something bad has happened.
Sounds like a mutual sick day is in order. Y’all deserve it.
After throttling my work ethic, I called in sick today. Since I’m not going to irk that means I had to cancel my car fixin’ appointment as well. Now I can spend quality time with Laura Ingalls Wilder on my couch. (I’m re-reading Farmer Boy. The Victoriana I’ve picked up over the last thirty years really enhances the book.)
