Look at your own reasoning. You have taken misinformation (my position on mass claiming), nonsensical non sequitors (the idea that I’m ‘organized’, because I didn’t pay attention and, later, voted for the person who was voting for me), and wrapped it into loud accusations.
Now, you could say that you’ve adopted the reason Jimmy and cardinal are sporting–I screwed up, and I’m too experienced for that.
But you didn’t say that. In fact, you didn’t give any reasons beyond what you already had. Reasons which are ridiculous lies. How is that not scummy?

Most of you, and especially the people who are making inferences based on my experience, have no idea how I actually play. They see me put a lot of effort into modding two games in a row, and think ‘wow, he must be really good’. But one doesn’t have much to do with the other. Moderating is easy. When you moderate, you know who everyone is, and all you have to do is make with the punctuality. But actually playing this game? Actually searching out the scum, or working as hard as you can to blend in? It’s hard. I like this game, I really do, but I am nowhere near as good as Storyteller or Chronos or Shadow Facts or RoOsh. Some people didn’t know that. I corrected that misconception.

Which Meeko complains about being completely non-sequitor and therefore “WTF?”. But that is a truncated quote, the fully quote (post 267 is:
And “previous post” is a link to post 230 where BillMC makes a long post regarding his suspicions of Meeko.
With Meeko’s truncated quote, he left out Bill’s stated reason for voting, then calls him on not having a reason. I don’t see how he could have accidentally overlooked that link, then accidentally not included it in the quote.
So we have Meeko misrepresenting people again. Suspicious as pede is, I just can’t let that fly.
You misquoted BillMC to put yourself in better light. You did it to play the matyr.
Just like you are doing here. My problem was not with the question - it is perfectly valid to wonder why someone would agree with you then vote for you. But I have to wonder about all this misrepresentation going on.

Meeko, if you would like to discuss my perceived shortcomings in a previous game we should do it in private.* However, your attempts to derail this thread by trying to drag the game into a derailment from a previous game equal the epitome of antiTown play. I, for one, shall not indulge in any more than passing remarks to the Glyph from here on.
He gave reasons. A thread full of them. He included the link to these reasons in his post. You, when quoting him, did not.
Now, if you feel I have misrepresented you in a similar manner to you misrepresenting pede, BillMC and frankly anyone who has ever made a case against you**, then please be specific. If someone else agrees that I have done you a disservice then I shall do my best to address it.
*As private communications between players is forbidden except by approved means, this will have to wait until we are not in the same Mafia game together.
**By this I mean when you state people are voting for you because of your play style, or when you say you ae being held against unfair double standards, when clearly this is not the case.

Well. Having taken a look back through the thread, I’ve got to say I still have no solid basis for asserting any player is scummy. On the Meeko-Pedescribe controversy: of the two of them, Meeko’s play so far I’d have to say is much more anti-town (misunderstanding or possibly “misunderstanding” and then misrepresenting two other people’s arguments so far), so:
I was reading along this weekend and I just reread it all.
I don’t think that Pede’s slip was much of a slip he missed part of a conversation and then backed off when showed that. On the other hand Meeko did misquote a significant portion of Bill’s post. It seems like a weird bit to edit too, it’s just one line in the middle of a post. Now Meeko’s defense makes sense, well as much as Meeko can, in that he was asking why you would agree with someone and then vote for them but it doesn’t explain why he deleted that line.
It’s only Day one so I don’t expect there to be much to go on. I think if nothing else we need to send a clear message that misquoting is bad. If we have to go back a verify every quote it will take forever to make it through people’s arguments.

I don’t think there is much behind Jimmy telling Meeko that certain questions should not be asked in the game thread Personally I read it as telling him to find the mafia wiki or any of the other sites about the mechanics of the game.
I think that about covers the drama from the weekend.
