Role blockers are occasionally town-aligned but, like voluntary vigilantees, they really shouldn’t do anything on day 1. There are (probably) more town power roles than mafia power roles so town role blockers would be doing more harm than good if they acted early on. I suppose one could have a compulsory town-aligned role blocker, but that would just be weird.
He didn’t say that he was blocked; he said that he thought he was targeted by a role-blocker This could mean several different things:
1: He could have used some Night-action and gotten a PM back that said his action didn’t work.
2: He could have gotten a PM that said that he was blocked, regardless of whether he has a power or not.
3: He could have gotten a PM with a fluffy description of something happening to him that he’s interpreting in game terms as being a role-block
4: Or, of course, he could be lying.
He might not want to say further which of these is the case, because doing so might indicate whether he actually has a power role or not.
I’m guessing the exact opposite. Nanook is a pretty clever player; an experienced team of scum would do well to be wary of him, despite his habit of not posting much. And he did nothing that seemed scummy.
But Tom Scud kept pushing the whole ‘pro-mass claim = town’ idea so much that it sort of swung past not suspicious and ended up back at suspicious again–I can see a vigilante thinking he might be a scum who ended up on the right side of the claim debate.
Oh, hi everybody! I had won a trip for one on a tropical cruise, got shipwrecked, and washed ashore on this island. It was a strange cruise, with half the cabin space taken up by one couple’s luggage filled with US currency (on a boat that didn’t even have a snack bar) and the other half by this scientist’s field chemistry lab equipment. And then there was the B-list actress. Has anybody seen any of them?
At any rate, I hope you’ve got enough infrastructure set up here to wait until search & rescue arrives.
Oh – what’s all these dead bodies about?
OOC: I have never seen Lost, I do not know anything about the character named in my role, my introduction is from a completely different TV show. I won’t have a chance to read the thread until Sunday morning.
More OOC: Hi USCDiver, am I going to grudge-vote for whoever votes for you, again?
I am no longer looking at BillMC, because, frankly, I think he would vote “Meeko” even if my role was Jesus Christ. -Given that he has been subbed, I await further actions from the new Bill, before I can even begin to consider voting “”“BillMC”"" again.
Heh, There’s an Idea, a New Testament Mafia…
Oh yeah, I still have to iron out my Tower of Babel Mafia…
What I mean to say, is that, I think that Bill and I both voted each other, because we hate the puppeteer (Player) and not the Puppet (Role). I further think we can not see each other as anything other than that, hence, on Day 2, I feel it is a waste of time to expend energy here.
