The main cabin, tail section, freighter, etc PMs all have to be slightly different from each other in that one sentence. And they are, because Mahaloth isn’t a moron. Re Story:
I was highly suspicious of Diver and, prior to Zeriel’s slip, was quite happy to be voting for him. I’m torn on diver now because diver really did go after zeriel. on the other hand, it was only chance that the final vote came down to one or the other. Absent zeriel’s mistake, we would probably have lynched diver on the strength of meeko, cardinal, and myself and then diver’s attack on zeriel would give mafia-zeriel some town cred.
I think I’m willing to accept chronos as confirmed, and I’m rather surprised that he rates quite so high in your suspicions. Can you elaborate a bit on why? I can understand holding the possibility of chronos as scum theoretically open, but he’s high up there.
As I said before, I’m a bit concerned about the algorithm. We are in a bit of a bind. Chronos, at least, seems utterly convinced by it and scuba is going along. If a few more members of the town buys into the algorithm, it will be almost impossible to lynch someone other than cardinal or jimmy. Chronos’s algorithm, like scuba’s coin flip yesterday, is a way to avoid being responsible for one’s votes. If Chronos is wrong, all the scum have to do is nod their heads and go along with it in order to win.
Re: Diver going after Zeriel: if anyone hasn’t read the off-board Dr. Horrible game moderated by FlyingCowofDoom, you should. In that game, Natlaw (who was Scum) was an instrumental figure in pursuing and lynching NAF (who was the Scum Godfather). The Town went along its merry way assuming Natlaw simply had to be Town, why else would he ever go after the Godfather like that. The Town was saved because the Scum never were able to kill the Investigator, who eventually found Natlaw. At endgame, Scum will do whatever it takes to stay alive, including especially sacrifice one another.
Re: Chronos - it is a gut feeling. I have no more evidence than that. Take it for what it’s worth.
