I amma say something real quick and it relates a lot to my OCD
See, I developed an OCD over learning just certain areas of interest. Problem is I get overly vocal about them, to me as an autist is just a better way of helping me understand the world. That’s all, but I do wanna say sorry for being annoying about them…
It’s no wonder that Malaysian cuisine is so delicious. Ships arriving on the Malay Peninsula from the Middle East, India, Europe, China and Indonesia over centuries all contributed to a melting pot of culture and cuisine that retains its own unique flavor to this day.
I am craving some egg rolls now.
Mmmmmm, Malay food! Yes please!
Abalone soup to start, then maybe some lumpia and then def laksa.
(I have to fast all day, dammit! And now I’m dreaming of Malay food. Dammit!)
I am now craving riceballs.
There is a food truck in Portland(Straits Kitchen) that serves the best Laksa Lemak, and their Sambal Tumis Udang is heaven on earth.
Dude, riceballs is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian testicles, please.
CMC fnord!
Motherfuck, I got to go to Sellwood? That’s pretty much Here Be Dragons territory…
Stir-fried shrimp in curry paste is to die for, I’m not kidding.
Any good curry is to die for. But I require it to be on rice with Sharwoods mango chutney on the side. That reminds me that I have some authentic Vindaloo sauce and I do have a jar of Sharwoods, maybe I should pick up some lamb while I’m out and sear it on the grill and make a lamb curry … mmmmm …
I have been looking for ideas for dinner tonight. Maybe I’ll do a coconut chicken curry, with jasmine rice. I love that stuff.
elbows that abalone soup sounds yum!
So GO THERE already.
Hello, ITALIAN testicles. (I can’t vouch for this recipe, but when I was a kid, my aunt used to make ones that were to die for)
I am on a day long clear liquids only diet here, and you’re killing me !
(I’m one of those fast metabolism people who eat every few hours. I woke up hungry. My mood has not improved throughout the day. Grrr. Also there is NO Malay food available where I live…sigh…)
I made lasagna yesterday.
It is always better on day 2.
I love 2nd day food.
So supper is managed.
One little tiny problem, the Siamese cats hate Italian, In fact they will stick their little velvet noses in the air, and march up the stairs. Only looking back long enough to give me a ‘go to hell’ look.
I may have to learn some recipes from Siam.
Is that the same as Thai?
Yep.
Two of my cats are part Siamese. (One is a flame point, the other is an orange tabby, even though they’re sisters), and they both adore cheese. Absolutely freaking adore it.
And butter. I have to watch if I’m eating bread or toast, or they’ll jump on the table.
I love the flame point Siameses. The breeder I bought my litter mates from had, flame, lilac, seal and chocolate point. I picked chocolate well, because I love eating chocolate. How could it go wrong, you may ask? They were 2yrs old in Nov., they have quietly taken over my whole life. I feel they do it because they secretly love me and want me to be happy. Who am I trying to fool? They barely tolerate me in the same room, unless I have treats on board or the grooming brush in hand. I am required to tell them they are beautiful several times a day. I am not sure how they communicated this to me, I just knew.
They are mouthy and argumentative in the extreme.
It is against their better natures to put up with my dogs, so that’s a negative.
They continually tattle-tell on the dogs, adding to their discomfort. Cause you know dogs are “just gross”!
Mine are just a pair of strays we got from the Humane Society. Sweet little buggers, but LOUD.
Yea, they are!
Luciano700 started his very last thread to get his questions answered … and it’s been closed … that’s just sad …
