Lynn Bodoni has passed away

To say I’m shocked by this news doesn’t even begin to convey my feelings.

Her family and loved ones are in my thoughts.

I just found out… :frowning:

My condolences to Lynn’s family and all who knew her. This board won’t be the same without her.

My deepest sympathies to her family.

Rest in peace, Lynn.

Sincere condolences to Lynn’s family and friends.

She will be missed and fondly remembered.

Well, shit.

For some reason I suddenly had the thought that someone on the board may have died and checked the usual forum for such news, MPSIMS, but saw nothing. Except for a thread about giving to a charity in Lynn’s memory, which made me seek deeper.

Bugger that my instincts were right.

Crap. I knew Lynn since the days of the old AOL board, which has got to be going on 20 years.

This truly is sad news; My thoughts, condolences and sympathy go out to her family and friends - she will most definitely be missed.

This is way past unfortunate news. She has been, and her legacy continues to be, a pillar in the SDMB community. :frowning:

RIP, Lynn.

Such sad news :frowning:

My condolences to her family and friends, she will be very much missed.

Crap. Lynn will really be missed here. Condolences to her family.

She’s the only Doper I’ve actually met (we had lunch once… cat-related meeting).

How very sad, she will be greatly missed. My condolences to all, especially to those who knew her on a more personal level.

Thank you for this. Without wanting to be weird of inappropriate, it helps to fill these little gaps of not knowing what happened, because those gaps hurt. A school friend of mine died in her early 20s, and I read about in an announcement but never knew what happened. It always stays that way, a little hole, feeling like I am somehow disrespecting her memory in not knowing, while asking people I am not in any way close to seems inappropriate. So thank you Marley, is all I wanted to say.

Very sad news. Condolences to all friends and family.

Thanks for doing this!!

Beautiful, wise tribute. She will be missed.

This is very sad news, everything she did and said suggested she was simply a kind and wonderful person to her very core. Having lived in Ft. Worth for awhile it always gave me comfort to know she was still there taking care of it. I’ll miss that, and everything else about her.

Very well, our next cat will be named Bodoni.

Thanks for the years of nice, wise and kind contributions, Lynn.

She was very good to me. God speed Lynn

Lynn’s sister is a member here, although she doesn’t post. She sent me a PM yesterday and she wanted me to share her thanks.

She was always one of the good ones. Rest in peace, Lynn.

I was stunned to read this. I knew she was in poor health, but had no idea it was this bad.

Very sad news. She was a founding member of this board. My condolences to her family and friends.

Sounds like a type font. How about “Lynn” instead?
