Man, I’ve been totally out of it for the past week or so and haven’t been checking up on the boards much. In any case, I will do my very, very best to show up tomorrow. If I don’t show up, it’s because I either:
(a) fell asleep
(b) My car broke down on the way there
Annapolis is kind of a haul, so unless I can leave work early (keeping my fingers crossed for one of those “boss leaves early so I can do whatever I want” days) I’ll probably be a tad on the late side.
Put me down as well. Since there seems to be a resurgence of interest, I can overcome my disdain for driving on those tiny little crowded streets.
The Mexican Cafe isn’t in the part of Annapolis with the little crowded streets - see map.
They don’t take reservations; you just get there and put your name on a list for a table. I’ll try to get there around 7:30pm, so we oughta have a table by 8. I’ll shoot for an outdoor table if the weather’s kind. We’ll be the Adams party.
avabeth, what do you look like? We’d like to recognize you and all. You can find pix of some of us (Weirddave, Ginger, av8rmike, and myself, anyway) here (warning: ~5 min. load time over modem connection) so you can pick us out of the crowd.
Directions:
From the north (I-97 corridor, Baltimore, etc.): take I-97 to Annapolis; when I-97 dead-ends into US 50, bear left and follow the signs for Aris T. Allen Blvd.
From the west (US 50 from DC): take US 50 to Annapolis and follow the signs for Aris T. Allen Blvd when I-97 comes in.
From the south (Central Ave (Md 210) from DC, MD 2 from Calvert County, etc.): take (210 to) Md 2 north to the Annapolis area and follow the signs for Aris T. Allen Blvd.
Any which way, once you’re on Aris T. Allen Blvd., it turns into Forest Drive, where it stops being limited access, and then into Bay Ridge Rd. The Mexican Cafe is at 975 Bay Ridge Rd., which will be on your right. It’s a free-standing building, not part of any strip mall or whatnot.
